If we don't sign VdV and let Inter take him for a measly 10m I'll be p!ssed off, that would only mean that we're not interested in him as we would have first option on him, which imo is totally retarded by our management.

Why do you guys want vdV or any midfielder so badly anyway?!?! I could not care less if we sign him, we're going nowhere with the fullbacks we've got.

I was just thinking, what would you do in Roma's case? He could end his career with Monaco and become a legend there (I guess he's still highly regarded) or join one of the greatest clubs and sit at home or on the bench if he's lucky for a whole season... I think I'd go for the former.
@Miz: Drenthe is a good player but he's naturally a left winger so that's why he looks lost at LB some times. I think he can become great and in any case there is no doubt he's an improvement compared to Favalli and Jankulovski! What the f has happened to the latter anyway?

The Drenthe rumor is right on the cover of today's Corriere. So take that as you will. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (Fishdoll wouldn't even line a birdcage with it). There's an interview with Arrigo Sacchi in Il Giornale too. he said he'd be disposed to return to Milan if asked but that at this point it'd be uncomfortable for the coach. Huntelaar has apparently chosen the #11 jersey according to tuttomercatoweb. So the Milan store guys are going to have to make more of those (they've been selling Borriello 11 jerseys). And apparently Milan are looking at keepers for next year according to tuttomercatoweb: specifically at Marchetti and Consigli.

Because we need another mid as much as we need a new fullback. Look at our midfield. Its Pirlo, Rino, Flamini, Seedorf, Ambro, Abate, Dinho, Cardacio. It's littered with defensive mids. Pirlo is the only creative central mid we have plus Seedorf bvut are we really going to spend another season hoping that he would wake up and stop being a lazy @ss? Dinho is our only attacking mid and when you're solely relying on this Dinho you know you have problems. Fullback is another big issue, but this shouldn't be an either or situation as both are desperately needed. We need a left back and another mid, if these 2 positions are not filled for next season we're going to be screwed

i think we need drenthe he's fast and can pass on defenders and he is good on defence ... but he did some mistakes with real madrid ... the fact that we're takin other teams left out players is wrong ... because real madrid think they will win next season but in fact they won't .. robben was the best for the last 2 seasons for real ... now when they will get ribery they will sell him ... and vdv did very well in the friendlies of the team this summer but they will sell him too .. same to snejder ... they think they can win with only kaka and cr9 and b19 or b9 it's the same (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) but they won't !!!! FORZA MILAN !!!

GK Zambrotta - Nesta - Silva - Favalli/Janku Gattuso - Pirlo - vdV/whoever ... When we play Rino-Pirlo-Flamini it becomes too stale to even watch, lack of ideas, Pirlo is forced into areas where he's not effective, we saw this happen countless times under Carlo. And anyway VdV would not be playing there, he's more an attacking mid then a central mid, what we really need for that midfield is a replacement for Seedorf, something I don't see us doing, a player like De Rossi, Hernanes would be the most ideal for that position. And I don't see us playing with that combo either, when Seedorf is back, expect him to start in the midfield, which imo is better then playing the 2 DMs no matter how lazy Seedorf is
