Yup, Pirlo is definitely with the team. And is training with them too -- the reason he wasn't fielded against the Galaxy (nor were Zambrotta or Gattuso, who are ALSO trainign with the team) is because the guys who were on NT duty had an extra long vacation and only just returned to training.

There are also shots of both of them in Dolce & Gabbana's blog of the team's summer travelling (but sadly for Fishdoll's person, no clear shots of Nesta).

That said, Mediaset seems to think there might be discussions between Milan and Chelsea this Friday (the day the two teams play) about Pirlo.

Report: Milan Want Marco Borriello - David Trezeguet Swap Deal With Juventus

After chasing down strikers all around Europe, Milan look set to plump for David Trezeguet.

Juventus have apparently decided to put the 31-year-old on the market against his will, and the striker looked rather tense during yesterday’s friendly match against Vicenza, even refusing to wear the captain’s armband.

La Gazzetta dello Sport today claims that Milan are ready to offer asylum to the former Monaco man. Apparently, Rossoneri vice president Adriano Galliani, along with transfer consultant Ernesto Bronzetti, met last night with the player’s agent, Antonio Caliendo.

It is suggested that Milan are prepared to sacrifice Marco Borriello to land Trezeguet, who has become the most prolific foreign striker in the history of Juventus.

Borriello returned to Milan last summer after a successful loan spell at Genoa, but was plagued by injury problems and barely contributed to the club’s cause.

Milan have turned to ‘Trezegol’ after negotiations with Sevilla for Brazil striker Luis Fabiano broke down, as the Rossoneri are unwilling to meet the Spaniards’ asking price of €20 million.

On the captain debate, Fishdoll has no great problem with Ambro having it -- Ambro, despite his faults, NEVER gives up. That said, Rino is the heart of the squad, especially now with Il Capitano gone.
