Bordeaux have a right to buy Gourcuff for £12m written into the loan deal they settled with Milan last summer. The French outfit are struggling to raise the capital to buy Gourcuff outright, though, and he may well end up back at Milanello. His feud with Ancelotti may prompt Milan to put him on the market again, however, as he is now believed to be worth at least £25m. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in his signature and Milan, who are in need of capital themselves, could well cash in. I'm not really up to another round of the Martyrdom of Saint Yoann, so won't be commenting further on it other than to note that there IS a Gourcuff thread and stuff specific to him might be better there than in the transfer thread (unless, of course, there's news regarding him moving somewhere or staying in Bordeaux, etc).

Speaking of Mediaset, both they and tuttomercatoweb are noting today that Fabio Cannavaro is out of contract at end of season and that Milan may pick him up. Two years ago, I'd have been thrilled at the idea. Now? Not so much. |
