Wow. That's even worse than Real's loss to Bayern a couple of years ago.

Zeddie, Fishdoll wants to have words with Essie. The ONE TIME he supports Real and this happens.

Gosh at Bayern's result -- poor Sporting. Gotta feel sorry for them at that point.

ANd...did Panathinaikos go through or Villareal?

Meh at the Gobbi result - of the england-italy ties, I thought they had prolly the best chance.

I suppose since everyone hates dirtyrottenscousers (well, except me), the weight of the expectations was too much for Real. every team I supported has been eliminated (or most probably will be eliminated). Real, Juve, tomorrow Inter and Roma...

Watching a rerun of Juve-Chelsea

It's the 40th minute and I haven't seen Buffon making a single save yet...

Who knows, with Sissoko, Nedved, Camoranesi and Legrottaglie Juve might have progressed. damn injuries (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I think it'd have been more classless if Bayern had just played keep-away with the ball rather than trying to score. This was no more egregious than Man U's 7-1 whomping of Roma last year.

I feel bad for Gigi. His window of opportunity is closing and this might've been his last serious run at Champions League gold. I don't think this Juve team has what it takes to win it all anytime soon.

you have nothing to gain really, if i'm a sporting player all i'm thinking about is revenge next time around, the bayern players will be luck to come out of that game with shins.

just being arrogant and classless to embarasse an opponent like that cuz it's not like they're beating them 7-1, it's 12-1....

You can at least be happy in the knowledge that with Rafa in charge, they'll never win the league.

I disagree.

Bayern are a team of professionals, they're out there to do their job. If they see a pass which will give them a good chance at goal, they'll pass it. What are they supposed to do, avoid doing any good passes or shooting? Nah. The only team to blame for that scoreline is Sporting. If you want Bayern to stop scoring, then stop them.

Yeah, but don't you think 12-1 is a bit too much for "professionalism"?...after seeing Juve and Real Madrid got knocked out, I really wondered how Milan would fare against them if we were to be in it. Milan must qualify for next season's UEFA CL! I miss the presence of Milan in CL. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I can't believe I'm saying but I'd prefer Inter to progress rather Man. Utd. Above all, I want Roma to go all the way but I doubt they have enough quality to even get past Arsenal.

I know knighthood does not exist is England anymore... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
To win 7-1 you don't just walk around and see a good pass... they tried hard... which is exactly what they did not have to do. And they should not have fielded their best available XI either.

I want Inter to go through, just to see them play Liverpool. That'll be funny. Rafa vs Jose.

Well, in fact they had to win as big as possible. Klinsmann needs every major success he can get so silence the fans and his other critics. The pressure on him is really big. And a 7-1 against Sporting in the CL is a huge success. By the way, they didn't field their first eleven.

After winning 0-5 in Portugal that was a very strong XI they fielded.
