QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Feb 26 2009, 06:39 AM) I think Juve deserved a draw. Roma.. had Arsenal had actual footballers, instead of Bendtner and Eboue, they'd have scored 3/4. I know, still that game ended 1-0 not 2-0, 3-0, etc. Just because Arsenal owned Roma at the Emirates doesn't necessarily mean they'll do it at the Olimpico too, does it?

QUOTE The UEFA president will not be going back to see Inter at San Siro any time soon after events on Tuesday night...
Former Juventus playmaker and current UEFA president Michel Platini endured a number of insults from Inter VIPs during the Champions League clash against Manchester United on Tuesday night, according to La Stampa.
The Italian paper has reported that Nerazzurri fans, who were seated in the executive boxes at San Siro, began to hurl a flurry of insulting comments towards the Frenchman because they were unhappy with referee Luis Medina Cantalejo. The Inter fans believed that Platini had chosen the match official to help Manchester United win against Inter.
La Stampa reports that one VIP shouted, "Platini, you piece of Juventus s***!"
Platini ignored the comments and he left unfazed by the insults. It is believed the Inter fans were angry because the UEFA chief revealed he would have liked to have given the trophy to his former side Juventus back in December.
However, those VIPs who didn't welcome Platini will have to thank him as reports suggest that it was he who decided not to sanction Inter coach Jose Mourinho for his comments towards Cantalejo after the fiery clash with the Red Devils.
It is believed the president gave specific orders not to take the investigation any further on Wednesday as UEFA appeared poised to study the match in greater depth. That's low. Even for them! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) It's one thing for working class fans sitting in a large group to lose temper...but these are suits in executive boxes.

Of course, Roma could win the 2nd leg 3-0 or something, but on the evidence of the first leg, they just couldn't cope with the way Arsenal play. It may be seen as low, but they're right. Platini is a Class A prick, in my opinion.

It may be seen as low, but they're right. Platini is a Class A prick, in my opinion. On the evidence of the first leg, Roma would not even survive relegation in the Greek league... they're just a bunch of chickens, not a bad team. They're right but they've gone as low as he is... so now he can call them the same... (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

So, injury issues for the Italian teams: Sissoko has a broken foot and is out, Materazzi and Burdisso are out with injury, and Totti is probably also out too.

QUOTE (SAF) “I can tell you now that Inter will just try and get to a penalty shoot-out at Old Trafford. The Italian mentality is always there, despite the presence of Argentines and others. The concept is always the same, they will try to stifle our game for 120 minutes to preserve the 0-0 draw.” As much as I respect SAF this is retarded and does not even make sense. It's for things like this that I will not be sad if inert go through.
