I don't know where the blame lies, but this certainly was not the things the management had in mind when they first bought him. Then again, I'd go as far as to blame Carlo for it was his loss, his shortcoming that he couldn't develop the youngsters. Of course, the youngster isn't free from blame, but what can a guy like him do when crapsters like Emo and Brocchi get the nod ahead of him.

I like Carlo. I like Gourcuff. Still think it was something personal from the coach. At least he gave Gila enough chances, even though his style of play didn't suit Milan. With the Frenchman, well let's not go there. It's never a case of black and white when it comes to midfielders, they can't always score goals to justify themselves. But I think a sustained run of 6 months (starting or otherwise) was all that was needed.


Long shot, Ten. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Not going to happen anytime soon. We have a bunch of talented Italians just on the fringes of the first XI, and they can't seem to find a game. What good would bringing in new guys would do - unless they're really out of this world.

He has been very poor for Spurs this season, one of the leading contenders for flop of the season for sure.

As for Kranjcar, was very good last season, but can barely get into a very poor Pompey team at the moment, and gets injured alot!

You have right for Modric, but so wrong about kranjcar, he is a great player he have injury problems this year but he is great , he is the best pompey player!

So, there seems to be confirmation that Espanyol wants Emerson. (The pompey deal has apparently fallen through).

There's also news that Chelsea want Storari, but the deal isn't finalized yet.

Nothing on acmilan.com, no. But he wasn't called up for today's game and there's been chatter for a couple of days about it.

btw, apparently Brocchi is not happy at Lazio; he was expecting to be a regular starter and...he hasn't been.

Not good for Lazio, and to think he was a regular for this side. Good relationships with the coach goes a long way, then, just ask Emerson. Next thing we know Brocchi retires and writes a bestseller book/manual for players "How To Win Over Coaches And Influence Teams".

I think Cigarini could play for Mkiln though he hasnt played all that much for Atalanta from what I have seen.

I like Cigarini too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) He was hurt for a good long stretch (injured himself in the game v. Milan, actually) and that's why he hasn't appeared as much as he might normally do.

Not sure of reliability but Milannews.it is reporting that Cardacio and Darmian may be loaned to Pisa. Pisa is midtable in Serie B.

Hmh, not sure. We loose Cardacio and Emerson? I don't think so, unless we hold an extra ace in our pocket and wait for deadline day to flash the media.

There is no question, at this time both the underperforming Modric and the injured Kranjcar are better then Gourcuff. While Kranjcar's bad season has mainly to do with his injury, Modric on the other hand can also be seen as one of the "not so bad players of a bad Tottenham". But all in all, as soon as Modric leaves the EPL his career can be restored..

yeah losing both wouldn't be the best idea. I'm all for giving Emerson's minutes to Cardacio. That would be a positive move for us. But to loan Cardacio and lose Emo cud backfire, cuz Ambro NOR Flamini have proven to be very durable. Flamini has been hurt a lot more than I thought he would be this year..

emo gone, cardacio featuring more would be fantastic though. and if sh!t really does hit the fan just push Janku into the midfield where he plays quite decently..and put one of our many additional fullback options zambro/antonini/FELLIIPPEEE/Favalli/Bonera on at full back.

i also may agree. The croatians that have been mentioned, modric/krancjar would both look as good as yoann does if they played for Bordeaux and that entire team was built around them.

but hey, modric and kranjcar are players of great quality who have careers at bigger clubs ahead of them..

i actually think that this crop of croatian talent is going to do damage in INTL competitions of the next 6 years. Ivica Olic is great, Petric is coming up, Modric and Kranjcar are good, Srna, Daniel Pranjcic..all class acts.

As biased as I am against Seedorf you and Tennie (not related to the part I quote) are against Gourcuff. I agree about Modric who has had some amazing games for Croatia at the biggest level but saying Kranjcar is better than Gourcuff and adding that "there is no question" about it is pretty unfair in my view.

So I'm not allowed to think any midfielders are better than Gourcuff?

No that's not what I said. What you've said in general about him makes me thing you're biased against him. I'm not judging you about it nor do I read anything you say about him with that in mind it's just what I think.
