I agree with you there, armiss. If this does happen, there are going to be a lot of really unhappy people.

selling Kaka, right now, would be the stupidest thing this club has ever done.

I assure you, if this deal goes through, there WILL BE some people on this very board that will praise the management for this intelligent transfer market move. like they have praised every other stupid move by Milan so far.

You can mark my words.

Damn, I'm so angry. **** City and its Arab sheiks and their unearned money all together!!

Out of curiosity, zeddie, why do you think selling kaka - assuming he wants to go or is demanding to go - is a bad idea?

EDIT: not that I necessarily disagree. I'm just curious about your reasoning. I think it'd be dumb to sell him as I don't think Milan are on the verge of bankrupcy. If, however, he demands to leave....I can see the club letting him go.

Because I am not assuming he is the one who's insisting that this deal should go through.

Call me nuts [or whatever you wish] but this is what I think; selling Kaka to one of these rich clubs and making A LOT of $$$ was a pre-planned move by the management. the first step was signing Dinho, accomplished successfully. now they're after the second step. it may happen now, or in the summer; it's inevitable.

Minutes after I made that post, Filippo said this in the transfer thread:

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Jan 16 2009, 12:24 AM) *
selling Kaka isn't that insane - we have a good midfield, if we add Gourcuff and a player more it will be sufficient, the money City offers is enormous on the other side. I don't think we can do much wrong. It's like Juve selling Zidane...we can re-build or re-structure for the next 1-2 seasons with that money.

So yes, I believe this.

well, zeddie, not everyone's going to demoise the club for selling him, if they do. (I still think that if this happens, he's the one who's decided to leave).

If it happens I won't be thrilled but I'm not going to go around hurling insults at management or threatening violence. Milan's been around an awful lot longer than Ricardo Kaka. Something will come positive eventually.

What milan shouldn't have done, imo, was bring in ronaldinho and #32. They stifle the midfield where Kaka plays. I don't think it's any coincidence that Kaka's performance has been on general subpar this season.

As soon as we signed one-trick pony I said Kaka would be off, I thought this summer to Madrid to be fair, not this. To Man City is simply for the money he will be earning, he tries to make himself out to be all nice and a down to earth person. However, in all honesty he's got no more professionalism than someone like CR7, even less so because he's willing to take a big-big step down just so he's got more cash in that wallet.

When City sign Torres, Zlatan etc we may hopefully see a Budget cap or something that's the only way they won't sign people. If they offer 500k to Kaka what would they offer Messi?!! It's ridiculous. Either that or we can hope the Sheikh get's bored and then bye bye to Man City as a football club.
