Anyway...Kaka for 100 million. Nope not for me....

With 100 million, we could get Diego, nail Gourcuff, perhaps VdV, purchase Drogba maybe, but then who would be our defenders??

Our problem is not money. We don't have a stadium to build or debts to pay off. Last I heard, Silvio isn't looking to make money from Milan. So why for 100 million, which is nothing but par for the course. 100 million after paying tax, doesn't give you enough cash to go to the next level.

By next level I mean:

1. 4-6 players, inclusive of best of breed youngsters
2. Operations personnel, better medics, upgrade club facilities
3. More advertising expenditure
4. New business plans to generate long term revenue (Youth camps etc)

Let's not forget we're selling our current icon, that perhaps upto 40% of Milan fans owe their allegiance in large part due to Kaka. And there are financial considerations, at least 6-7 years of lost merchandise sales.

The above is a purely logical point of view. I'm not even bringing into play my affection for Kaka.

If I did, I'd have 2 words both of which are censored by MF filters.

Messi costs 150 million. Kaka should cost 180 million. Then we'll talk.

I'll give it a shot, cmf.

The meeting between emissaries from Man City and Kaka's father was apparently Monday night: according to the english press, during the dinner, the Citizens explained their project to engineer Bosco Leite, though Kaka is currently very skeptical about a transfer to England. Among the fixed conditions for a possible discussion with Kaka are Robinho's not being sold, qualification to the CL within two years, Kaka getting all image rights, and the guarantee that Sheik Mansour will remain owner of the club for the duration of Kaka's contract. Another condition is that if any of the above-listed conditions aren't met, Kaka could free himself at a fixed price: they're also looking at Ancelotti's situation, who some hypothesize could be another of Kaka's 'guarantees'.

I read this too.

But as I understand, these are Kaka's conditions IF Milan agree to sell.

According to skysports Man City just withdrew their bid.

I've said this. For a 100 million they will NOT sell Kaka. Like acid said it's not like we haven't seen 100 mill before. And as per my earlier large post, it isn't a large amount of money. Not even a profitable sum. If they'd offered an obscene sum like say 150, I would be worried.

I think there's 1% chance of this happening right now. in the summer, it will depend on a lot of things...

I don't think Kaka is worth more than Messi. at least not when I think about the age factor... Messi has at least a decade of football ahead of him and his greatness is more than guaranteed (though many of you still doubt it). Kaka is 26; in the fast paced English league, he wouldn't last more than 5 seasons.

Kaka's father meeting was in monday and Kaka spoke yesterday, also yesterday Berlusconi said his wish is that Kaka stay. so now i think City is trying but this is the same as what Real Madrid did before. it will certainly ruins Kaka career . this is like that someone promise to Kaka $1 billion if he play in Alaska.

Mattioni's first words

MATTIONI present : "Happy to be here"

in "Le Betulle" clinic for medical examinations today morning he said :

"I am very happy, the Milan is a team that I have always admired from when i was small: I will do everything possible to do well"
"I'm a very offensive player who possesses a high-speed attack so well, but I also like to defend. Cafu? The comparison embarrasses me, I have so much to work yet,"
