QUOTE (Il Diavolo @ Nov 10 2008, 05:33 PM) I don't like him either, but let's be honest. If it wasn't for Emerson and Gattuso, we would have never achieved all those "1:0/2:1" victories. Basically, Emerson is one of the main reasons we still have a good chance of winning it all. It was only because of Emerson because he played. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) He's nothing special, and anyone else could have chipped in his place and given a same, or better performance. One of those Uruguayans fellas, in particular.

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Do me a favor, count all the fouls Emerson has made and will be making in the coming matches, the free kicks he concedes, the goals that result, the cards, the break of play, the break of concentration, and you'll understand. He was decent, if not spectacular at Juve a few years back. He's a disaster now. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) A shot bullet. And this is coming from a guy that generally likes Brazilian football players. Fact of the matter is, he shouldn't have been bought. Ribery should have been.

QUOTE (Habitant @ Nov 17 2008, 08:55 AM) are you sure that was the other option? the funny thing was carlo singled him out as his main transfer target!!! I read on more than one sources that both Ribery and Milan were interested, but someone blew the deal. Don't know who it was, my bet would be on Mr. B. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) He may not have been the other option, but was an option nonetheless, before he went to Bayern. Anyway, as far as Emerson is concerned, you're right, he was a favorite player of Carlo. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Look where that ends you, being a good lad in Carlo's book!

He won't. I think Carlo never wanted him once he got Flamini, and Emerson's been sulking a bit. Emerson's probably going to play for a Tier-2 English club. Portsmouth or Bolton or someone like that.
