Let me see, do you ever sleep? it's 3:30 and you're going to watch a film?

Abbiati – 6.5: Didn’t have much to do all night, and was unfortunate to concede the late goal, and miss out on another clean sheet in the process.

Zambrotta – 7.5: Brilliant performance by the right back tonight, who was impressive from the very first minute. Looked dangerous when going forward, and was solid at the back, making it an all round good performance.

Bonera – 6.5: Started off a little shaky, but did well throughout the match to nullify the impact of Cacia and Tiribocchi in particular.

Favalli – 6.0: Similar to his defensive partner Bonera, he was great in minimising the quality of the home side’s attacking players. Unlike his compatriot however, Favalli was anonymous for large parts of the contest.

Jankulovski – 7.0: Great outing once again by the left back, who continues to improve with each and every game he plays this season. Had a great chance to score after 72 minutes from close range, but Benussi denied him the opportunity.

Gattuso – 8.0: Outstanding performance from the workhorse, who was brilliant all match. He gave his all as per usual, and shook off two heavy knocks in the process, to be one of his side’s most influential players on the night. Chipped a glorious ball forward to Pato, which consequently set up the Ronaldinho goal.

Seedorf – 7.0: Another commendable performance by the experienced Dutchman, who was a general in the midfield this evening.

Flamini – 6.0: A slightly quieter performance from the Frenchman tonight, who failed to impose himself in the contest. He was solid in the midfield, but rarely supported the defence or got forward.

Kaka – 8.0: Brilliant as always. Set up so many attacking plays for his side, and provided great service to Borriello, Ronaldinho and co. all match. Was extremely unlucky not to score tonight, however he can certainly hold his head up high following that performance.

Ronaldinho – 7.5: Wonderful match by the Brazilian, who broke the deadlock after 79 minutes. Only criticism tonight was that he wasn’t as influential as his fellow Brazilian Kaka, in that he was in and out of the match at times.

Borriello – 7.0: Deserves a higher rating for the amount of opportunities he had on the night, however he failed to make the most of them. Was undoubtedly his side’s best player in the first half, and coincidentally, his poor finishing is what cost his side on the night.

Subs: Pato 7.5, Inzaghi 6.0, Emerson 5.5

Kaka and Seedorf were nearly invisible tonight, Abbiati deserved a 5.5 for getting beaten at the near post (in his case, it's conveniently an "unfortunate" goal). Borriello - no comment.

Carlo Ancelotti blamed the referee for robbing Milan of victory at the Via del Mare. “Only in Italy are these fouls awarded.”

Ronaldinho had given the Rossoneri the lead, but deep into stoppages Emerson was judged to have fouled Daniele Cacia and Esposito nodded in the free kick.

“That was a foul they only give in Italy. Unfortunately the referees in Italy give far too many free kicks for the slightest contact,” sighed the Coach.

“Unfortunately there was a man marking him and [Pippo] Inzaghi was in position, but the Lecce player did well to jump and get to the ball first. We don't have a very tall team, so it can happen for us to be a little weak on set plays.”

Milan had wasted a series of great scoring opportunities, most of them with Marco Borriello, while Christian Abbiati barely had a save to make.

“It was probably our best away performance in Serie A, as we created many chances, were balanced and pushed hard, yet we only got a point.

“I waited to make the substitutions because the team was doing so well. I was a little worried that adjusting the system could create a few more problems for us.”

Alexandre Pato came off the bench to immediately set up the opener for Ronaldinho, but there were midfield problems with Massimo Ambrosini and Andrea Pirlo out injured.

“Ambrosini is a very useful figure going forward, but he was out so we tried to push the full-backs further forward and that helped our style of play.

“It is true we create a lot more than we actually score, but that can happen. This match was basically won and we had done everything to deserve it.

“It wasn't even so much a defensive distraction at the end, but rather an error from the referee.”

The 1-1 draw means that Milan lose the Serie A leadership to Jose Mourinho's Inter, but it is extremely tight as eight teams are crammed within four points.

Stuff like this is what burns me up more than the result. For God's sake, Carlo, STFU and take your lumps like a man. It's not the ref's fault that Borriello forgot where the goal was located or that we relied on Dinho to (almost) save our rears again.
