*snipsnip* edit made

Habitant, you're probably right. My favorite Spanish player of that entire tournament was actually Xavi. He was key in those games. Very critical in the midfield. I'd love to see Xavi play in Milan... even though he's a tad bit short, he's quite a player.

Edit: Don't mean to double edit, but I removed Dru's quote as my post says nothing on it.

(IMG:http://www.pic4ever.com/images/susel.gif) (IMG:http://www.pic4ever.com/images/susel.gif) (IMG:http://www.pic4ever.com/images/susel.gif) Alert!

Both Poulsen and Mellberg are playing in the Zebra CL game today (second leg v. Artmedia). Rather surprisingly, Artmedia leads 1-0 with their goal coming off a set piece (Buffon is in goal too).

Poulsen AND Mellberg on the same field? I wasn't sure a football field could contain so much awesomeness without blowing up. I'll have to find a stream for this.

Inspite of Guardiola's rhetoric, don't really think the Catalonians give a shite.

After winning 4:0 in the first game of course they don't.

Today will be interesting to see the Atletico Madrid - Schalke clash, and maybe, just maybe, Standard Liege can pull a surprise vs Liverpool (IMG:style_emoticons/default/soccersmile.gif)

Misha. If he's sobered up since news of Shevcheno's return, it probably didn't last long. Dinamo Kiev are leading Spartak Moscow 2-0 in the return leg game of the 3d qualifying round today. Dinamo crushed Spartak in the first leg (played in Moscow).

Trashed them 4:1 in Moscow and today did it again in Kiev with the same result (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fiesta.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fiesta.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fiesta.gif)

Before the game there were a big fight between the fans of both teams. Nothing unusual when these two meet (IMG:style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif)

BTW Shakhrtar leading 1:0 in Zagreb (won 2:0 in the first leg) and seems like there will be 2 Ukrainina teams in the CL group stage again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

HT Liverpool 0-0 Liege. Liege have arguably been the better side. Had it not been for Reina over the two legs, Liverpool could easily be 3 or 4 down at the moment. No doubt they'll get a dubious free-kick and win it late on. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

This is Liverpool's home game right? Wow. They certainly suck. Best wishes to Liege. Hope they score a few. Too bad Digao isn't playing... heard he had a bad injury...
