Well... I know this may not be a good thing to say and I may get fire for this, but I welcome that we play tough. If we can establish that reputation it will cause other teams to be more cautious.

For too long other players were making strong challenges on our players, especially Kaka.

Payback.

Well, you do have a point, but I personally don't like roughness in football. especially if it conduces to long term injuries...

I totally get your point... it can be tough and I knew this as I used to play as a defensive midfielder and I've caused injuries on two players... and I was red carded like 7 times in like two seasons.

But lets not go there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

As regards Pippo, I believe I read (in Carletto's postmatch interview?) that he's got a slight muscular strain and that it's nothing serious.

Pippo's 'slight' muscular strains are never serious yet he's out with them for months on end. this is why I don't like how Galliani feeds us cr@p about how we have Pippo, Boriello and Pato as strikers when inreality we only have 2. I personally consider Pippo a bonus rather then a squad member.

This post echoes my sentiments.

What was the name of the singer that sung before the Milan - Juve game?

Elisabetta Canalis, I think.

I checked it, Lisa (she so loves it when I call her Lisa) was the presenter, the singer was actually the one Filip mentioned, Anna Tatangelo! Great music...

Yeah it was her. She was the one linked with Bebo (or Christian Vieri) of Milan fame. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I recall the commentator mentioned her name and her previous relationship with the striker during the match.

I do not think it is serious at all and I think Galliani is a good man. Pippo, Borriello, Pato and Paloschi are all strikers. We have four strikers, though I would have liked to see Paloschi loaned out and Milan getting a more experienced striker.

But our strike force is fully capable. In fact, it's very coherent.

True, but it's never fully fit. And that's the whole point. Someone's always injured or not in shape.

I think it's more than adequate and I think many other teams have their issues in this regard. Even C. Ronaldo was injured recently... our strikers are in good form I think.

We'll have to deal with injuries because players are not gods, but rather humans. Arsenal for example has been hit by a number of injuries... not regarding super-recent injures, the one that hit Eduardo that nearly ended his career (best wishes for his recovery).

Exactly my point and that is why they slumped in the League. It was due to the injuries and the club wasn't able to cope with that. We can't win the scudetto with so many players on the treatment table.

You didn't address the rest of my post.

I don't agree with your sentiments... I think we have enough depth to cover everything appropriately.

Erm, I would have said the same thing just with the whole post in the quote box (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'm not saying that we don't have depth. We do. What I'm driving at here is that the depth is of no use if most of it is unable to play due to injury or lack of fitness.

I believe so too. Players are bound to get injured. This is a physical sport. In terms of depth, we have 5 strikers not including attacking midfielders. But of course, if all our strikers are injured (which would be a nightmare), we still have Ronnie and Kaka' to slot in.

Well I'm going to see we don't have enough depth.

GK: Abbiati (Dida & Kalac) -- We have two number 2 quality keepers, and one number 3 quality. Depth is there, starter isn't.
RB: Zambrotta (Oddo) -- I'm not sure either guys are number one quality to compete at the very top anymore. But at least we have two good RBs, when they want to be.
LB: Jankulovski (Favalli) -- Janku is good enough to start, not sure about Favalli being good enough for a backup though. Yes, he did well as a number 3 for us last season. But if Janku goes down and he had to play alot..
CB: Nesta (Bonera) -- Good enough starter and good enough backup, no problem here.
CB: Maldini (Kaladze) -- Maldini isn't good enough anymore, Kaladze is okay in all honesty. Still makes too many mistakes, but if he sorted out his concentration he'd be a decent backup.
DM: Flamini (Ambrosini) -- More than good enough in my opinion.
DM: Pirlo (..Emerson?) -- Pirlo is fine, Emerson is not even close anymore.
DM: Gattuso (Brocchi) -- Gattuso isn't as good as he was say 2 years ago, think he's losing 'it' a bit. The less said about Brocchi the better.
AM: Ronaldinho (Viudez) -- I'm not sure R10 has it anymore, I can't se "we're covered" here when his performances have been poor and his back-up is unproven.
AM: Kaka (Seedorf) -- One of the best 3 players in the World backed up by Seedorf.. maybe him being backup will make his terrible attitude change.
ST:: Pato (Paloschi, Inzaghi & Boriello) -- Not 100% sure Pato can last a full season, but we'll see. Good overall though, with youth.

We have acceptable depth in about half of the positions. But the other half is just not good enough if we really want to challenge for the title, even if we aren't in the CL.
