I didnt see Darmian or Albertazzi's full half, but the board seem to be impressed with them. Instead of buying a CB we should look to develop these two. Or we can buy a stop gap solution for 2 years and wait for these two to mature

Italian text commentary said Pippo went straight to the dressing room. Hopefully it was either a potty break or him being a primadonna, and not an injury.

Maybe Pippo went to do his voodoo in the dressing room (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Darmian is really good...He imposes the defense...He's not affraid to make a tackle..Albertazzi is quite good but he kicks the ball out when there's pressure..Noticed that a lot during this game..

Albertazzi is very young remember. 17 or 18. Darmian has played a handful of games for the senior team while Albertazzi only played in Serie B for Bologna. Still i dont expect Albertazzi to be ready for 3-4 years. Was our other promising defender Bruscigan(sp) called into the squad? i would like to see how he is developing

Some quick point during HT

Albertazzi - only crossed the ball once and it was a bad cross, but on the defencive front I thought he was great, great positioning, great interceptions. I really think we have something on our hands here is he is given enough chances. Really impressed.

Cardacio - Started off a bit nervously and committed a couple of silly foulf but still put in a great through ball for Paloschi that Pirlo would have been proud of. But once he stettled into the game he looked pretty good also, wins the ball and immediately lays it off and doesn't delay the play, I liked what I saw.

Viudez, I really like this kid, gets into smart positions to recieve the ball, really knows how to find spac, looks like he's got some pace on him with the ball at his feet and provided the assist for the goal. Again really impressed. Hopefully he gets some good chances this season.

Darmain - Like Albertazzi, a great performance by Darmain. The commentators on Canale 5 have been raving about him. Really reads the play well. Carlo should leave him at center back against Juve.

Paloschi, nice runs, looked a little rusty in front of goal but still managed to score.

Seedorf was good really involved, same as Ambro except for some unneccassary fouls it has been a perfect performance from him. Antonini, very solid defensivley even though he's playing at RB. Brocchi is ok, nothing special. Favalli very solid. And Dida was good except for one howler where he bulldozed Favalli into the ground and flapped at the ball, which he was lucky that it didn't result into a goal.
