It was very hard to even imagine being somewhere else. I must confess, I always did fear the moment when it would be imperative to say: “it’s time to go”. After Milan it’s hard to find anything that could fulfill you. But, a interesting thing happened – after I decided to go and choose Monaco (Pokrivac and Leko helped much for that decision) I finally felt great releaf and easiness. That was the year of his international retirement, having won exactly 100 caps and played at six major tournaments, most notably claiming 1998 FIFA World Cup bronze. |
