QUOTE Seedorf Hails 'Incredible' Premier LeagueAC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has revealed his regret at having never played in the Premier League… (IMG: http://goal.com/images/27971_news.jpg) The Dutchman played at the elite level for over 16 years and featured for some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Ajax, Real Madrid, Internazionale and now Milan. The one-time Sampdoria man has won the UEFA Champions League with three separate clubs, and has picked up La Liga, Scudetto and Eredivisie titles. But despite his immense success on the continent, Seedorf admitted it would have been great to showcase his talents in England. “Especially now I think it is incredible to play there,†he told Setanta Sports News. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif) “Not only because of the great players that are there but also if you see what the clubs in general are doing in the UK now. The new management structure they have.†Enjoy Seedorf turned 32 last month, but despite his veteran years he remains a key part of the Rossoneri line-up, having played over 30 games in Serie A this season. The Suriname-born midfielder has few years in him yet, but he insists he will not match Milan team-mate Paolo Maldini, who will turn 40 next month. He said: “I don’t see myself playing that long! I have too many things that I want to do but I am going to enjoy it as much as possible and as long as possible.†Mike Maguire Goal.com It is still not too late Seadorf. Pack your bags and go to EPL!! Seedorf should be benched next season. It really would be pathetic if he still is in our starting XI considering he picks and gives his all in only 10 games per season... if we really want to win anything then Seedorf should learn to like it on the bench. If he does not want to then he can go and I'm not going to cry cause it would be selfish... Rui Costa used to be a better player than Seedorf and he never created a problem... Clarence can leave if he feels he deserves to be a starter. But I would not suggest the EPL... he'd be one week slow over there; he'll still be playing with Newcastle and his team will be at Everton...

^ I agree that Seedorf should be benched but only as a warning, not as a permanent solution. If he still pulls out the same lame playing, he can stay as a permanent bench player. But I don't agree that Rui Costa used to be better then him. In Milan not. Seedorf was allways more valuable and could both score and assist. Rui and scoring in Milan? A story never really opened..
Still, I'm a bit outraged that Marco Van Basten once more dropped Clarence. This is rediculous. Snijder alone cannot be a generator for the dutch midfield. I was so dissapointed in Holland in 2006, by their tactics and performances (which then produced a dissapointing result). But on this Euro...with MvB as coach and such a week midfield, they don't stand a chance. De Zeeuw? Englaar? Lanzaat? de Jong? Please...why not Maduro, even van Bommel? Okay, they have Robben and Persie, but they had big injury problems and I'm not sure how they're gonna integrate.
Anyway, IMO Holland does not stand a chance.
