Interesting Chelsea lineup. No Joe Cole (bad for Chelsea, imo), no Cashley (given recent form, probably a good thing for Chelsea) and no Ballack (given recent form, a bit of a surprise). And Spurs has Robinson in goal? Eek for Spurs.

I think it's pretty harsh to blame it on him. The free-kick was in a central position, impossible to stop.

His positioning was pitiful. Top keeper doesn't allow goals like that.

As I said, it was in the middle, what else could he do? If the FK is in the middle you just can't position yourself. Especially the side Drogba put it in, the keepers mentality is to always move to the side of the goal where the wall is - since players usually put it over the wall - so it made it even more difficult.

I'd have ben shocked if anybody saved that.

Anyways, HT 1-0 Chelsea. Pleased with the result so far.

He could have done better with that free-kick.

Lampard should have been yellow-carded for his tackle on Berbatov just before the break... then again, he's Lampard! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

If our refs went by the proper rules, Berbatov wouldn't even have been on the pitch in the first place. 2 dives = yellow cards, he should be off.

Nah, I'd have to disagree.

Maybe in Spain, yes, but in the EPL you're allowed to try and make a challenge.

I don't see what yellow cards has to do with me liking Lampard, though. WHy would I care if he got booked? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Anyways, he and Essien have ran the midfield so far. Zokora and Jenas have barely touched the ball. Spurs need to make changes.
