If Essien comes ... Who will be benched ?! Ringo ? Pirlo ? .... I mean, he wont accept a bench role. Doubt it (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Since we almost always play with Pirlo/Rino/Ambro in midfield, I say Essien could replace Ambrosini (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

True. But that is when Milan plays the tree. Now there is Pato who changes the set up of the team.

Plus, Berlusconi's team plays with two strikers.

Sure, your opinion of Essien is to be a starter. But I doubt he'll get as much chance's at the first team as Gennaro and Pirlo. I mean, Emerson didn't move to Milan for nothing (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

first off, essien is 5 times better than emerson. secondly hes younger. lastly, and to me this is the most important: he is not JUST a defensive midfielder! He can probably play right back better than Oddo can, and Center Back better than Kaladze! he is fast, physical, and on Ghana he does a good amount of attacking.

Essien is the single greatest player we could possibly sign. I would be overjoyed if we were to sign him. He is better than cambiasso, mascherno, diarra, etc. His age is ideal, and if he loves Milan, then how would he not fit perfectly into our family. Michael Essien and Didier Drogba would make us THE most feared team in the world.

Pato, Drogba
Kaka
Gattuso, Pirlo, Essien/Seedorf
Janku, Bonera, Nesta, Zambrotta

wow.

BUY HIM WE NEED ANOTHER DMF right now ( yes im being sarcastic )  (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

hes only 25 hes got 6 or 8 years left in him or even more would be great to have him at Milan !!!!!

have you ever seen this guy play? this isnt PES soccer (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) essien isnt a DMF and nor is he a holding midfielder that sits in front of def. he's midfield destroyer like gattuso but with an offensive edge to him. we seem to have a problem on the right side of midfield and i think he would fit in well + he's extremely versatile

Mourinho + Drogba + Essien = ... amazing... but also cost 50 mil pounds =/ (just the two players). and I don't see Chelsea selling Essien, he's too important.

Essien is one of the few Chelsea players I like. This guy is very, very good. I'd take him at Milan any day (though it's probably not too likely in the near future, unless Chelsea has a massive brain fart.)

Essien is the best DMF in the world. And he's so good in attack that Kurt doesn't consider him to be a DMF! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Only Flamini can compete with him this season.
Diarra has not been that good.
And everyone else is not constantly on form like Essien/Flamini.

WE WON'T BUY HIM.

Flamini? I don't even consider him a football player. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Agreed.

Essien is not a DM, he's a very complete player. I thought the money they paid out for him was outrageous, he's certainly been worth it thus far. If he cuts out his stupid break leg tackles, he'll be a great player.

Flamini isn't too bad. He's under-rated. But he doesn't have a 'star' name like Mascherano so obviously people will say he's crap.

He is a modern-day DMF! He's got other qualities too but he's not anything else so he is a DMF... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
