@Porty...

Really?? What about Juve and Napoli??

There is a certain Schuster, who after yesterday's match said something along the lines of 'The referee is Catalan...that explains it all'.

And don't even get me started about Mourinho.

And if yesterday's goal by Gallas had been disallowed...you think Wenger would say, you know what, it's not that the referee denied us the goal, we weren't able to break down the defence.

I'm not saying what we're doing is right...nope what we're doing is kinda embarassing. But to say no team in Europe is complaining is u letting out ur frustrations.

And I dunno, but breaking the deadlock with a penalty or otherwise, would have made a huge difference to the game play. We saw that against Samp.

Not to justify anything, so don't any of y'all try to counter my argument saying that doesn't excuse we didn't play well enough. Nope that doesn't. We played bad, and couldn't snatch the win.

But I don't think our team is in the kind of mindset or form to win despite the referee.

dude the point is all they do is b1tch and complain about ref calls whenever we dont win while other teams have only done it once or twice. this is getting out of hand (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I mean if Collina (head of Refs in Italy) calls up Galliani to tell him that he was right .. I think Galliani has the right for this outburst, though a team like Milan shouldn't use this as an alibi.

REFEREES, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

11/4/2007 12:22:00 AM

After Milan-Torino and the penalty not given for a foul on Massimo Ambrosini Adriano Galliani took a strong position against the refereeing class.

(IMG:http://media2.acmilan.com/200711/8518_news.jpg)

(ON THE PICTURE: MASSIMO AMBROSINI IN MILAN-TORINO 0-0)

MILAN - Here are the declarations of delegate administrator Adriano Galliani and coach Carlo Ancelotti:

GALLIANI

"Milan had an excellent first half, and once again the referee was not on our side tonight. There was a clear penalty which he failed to give us. This year it seems that by definition there should not be a refereeing problem, but it's there and it's big. Everytime on Monday I have to hear Collina telling us we're right, but that just makes us more nervous. I would like to count, and I will, the amount of points that we have been denied by refereeing mistakes. There was also an investigation done by the consumers' association which revealed that Milan have been the team most penalised by refereeing decisions this year. This is not good. I have the duty to underline these things, I can understand mistakes but not never-ending mistakes. What we are assisting to this year is unacceptable, and commenting on the rest of the match is pointless."

ANCELOTTI

"Also today there was a clear mistake by the referee, we need to be given our due. As far as the game is concerned, we created some chances in the first half, but then the apprehension caused us to lose our focus. We lacked precision and clarity, but considering the situation that is acceptable. But our results at San Siro are starting to become incomprehensible. In any case now we return to the Champions League, we will have a chance to redeem ourselves, even though we are playing against good opponents. From our part we are aware of the importance of the match, winning would be very important at this point in time."

"In this period we are trying to keep the referees calm, but ignoring mistakes like today's becomes very hard."
*

is it that hard to see?!?! every bloody time we dont win it's just great to detract attention to the ref, there was no clear penalty but it was a 50/50 and apparently thats why we dint win (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

and carlo man... how is it acceptable??? i mean if i'm a player why would i evenany feel pressure when there no competition in the team so i can play as bad as i want and nothing is going to happen and in addition all the coach is doing is trying to find excuses and says that it acceptable.

this is beyond a joke right now.

This is getting ridiculous. It wasn't even a penalty. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

If they're going to give penalties for things like that, we'd have around 5 or 6 EVERY game, everytime a corner is taken pushing like that goes on. Then you'd have to start giving it all over the pitch, players would be getting sent off for consistant fouling.

What a ridiculous excuse. This is getting shameful.

Y'know, if we were actually earning our salt on the pitch this season, instead of floundering in the depths of Serie A and regularly biting the big one at home to the likes of Torino and Empoli, then maybe we might have a case.

But in all honesty, we don't. We have so many holes in our system big enough to drive a Packard through and we're only succeeding in embarrassing ourselves by petulantly calling out the refs every other week if we believe something doesn't go our way, rather than addressing what's really wrong with our squad. It just makes us look childish while simultaneously raising the disturbing question: Is this what the most prestigious club in Europe has now been reduced to? Are we now (shudder) the new Inter?

Harsh reality, yes, until we wake up and start rebuilding this squad from the ground up.

If only! It'd be nice to be like them and actually compete for the title.

People on here mock Inter for thair lack of success, now it's a role reversal, we're becoming the joke. They're the ones laughing.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Whatever man... We are not the joke... last year we won a more prestigious trophy than them despite all the difficulties and this year, again with all the difficulties, we still have a shot in other competitions and we also won the super cup. And yes, it counts!

And even if this year passes by and we don't win anything more than the super cup? One bad year... We will come back stronger. Inter have been the joke of Italy for the past... I don't know... billion years... They did NOT deserve the scudetto they won on paper and they are more involved in illegal actions more than anyone right now... It's more than obvious how EVERYTHING seems to go in their favor in the league while they are just average in the CL. The dark clouds will clear and this moment will pass. Milan will remain intact.

Yeah, whatever you say.

We won the most prestigious trophy? It's easier to do when it's the only thing you're competing in. It's like a 13 game season for us. For Inter, it's much more. And they have the Coppa, too.

And no, the Super Cup isn't big. Even Inter wouldn't brag about winning that. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
