A very pleasing January transfer window rumour.

Villa are rumoured to be preparing a bid for want away Liverpool star Jon Arne Riise. John Carew has told him that he would be very welcome, and would fit in well, at the Midlands club.

I think there's about 1% chance of it happening. One can always dream. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

EDIT: Something I was unaware of..

Riise sold his house this past summer, as he was on the brink of a move to Villa. The deal fell through when his replacement, Heinze, was unable to join Liverpool. Maybe it's more likely than I first thought!

I think he is an integral part of Liverpool. He no longer plays at left back there, Benitez has played him mostly in midfield, so he has to face competition for first team football. In that case there might be that 1% chance (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Well, in an unsurprising move, Sammy Lee has left Bolton by mutual consent.

He's single handedly turned them from a UEFA Cup/mid-table team to a relegation threatened team, what a useless manager. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

In other news, goal.com is running an articles saying RvP is injured, while playing for the NT. The knee from the looks of it. And they're saying he could be out for a month. I must have this rotten tongue, coz just last week I was wondering if Arsenal had replaced their Henry fixation with something Dutch.

I guess I'll find out. In an way I'm excited coz I'll get to see Eduardo(am I right Locke?) and Bendtner((IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) ). The latter being the guy I want to see. English media's been quite, but reliable sources tell me this boy could be big.

And what about Persie and his injuries?!! And it always seems to strike at the wrong moments!! Remember the comments that Czech med staff made about Rosicky's condition, and how the Gunners med staff didn't have the competency to diagnose or treat the problem!! Wierd...

And did Babel play in the qualifiers against Slovenia? I heard rumours him and MvB had a fall out! I find this wierd since MvB had said the bloke could easily be better than Henry.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) .................... Like Ash would say, watching paint dry is more exciting than Bendtner! That lad is one of the worst football players Wenger has ever brought to Arsenal!

Well if he adopted the Henry attitude as well then MvB was right to exclude him from his plans! But I don't even know if he played! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Really? I even heard Wenger didn't let the kid go out on a loan, and even got rid of Aliadiere to let him play more...my sources and your sources obviously hate each other. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I've watched the guy play... I'm surprised he's with Arsenal, he doesn't even have the technique to be there.

Sounds like Inzaghi in Milan (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Well his wiki reads as if all he can do is score goals. Unfortunately football thanks to modern tactics has been relegated to a battle of strategy and strength. Very few teams really have that great blend of technical ability and sound strategy. Milan on their day have both. Arsenal mostly have the first, but not the second. Seeing Bolton under Big Sam was the reverse.

This footballing era sucks. Thank god for Pirlo and Kaka, otherwise I might even have to go watch (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) ice-hockey. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

@Jackie boy.
I expect Wenger to field Adebayor up front with Eduardo as strike partner.
Bendtner ain't experienced enough and Walcott works best as a late substitute.
Shame about Van Persie, he'll be out for over a month...international matches be damned!
As for Rosicky, he's suffering from a recurring hamstring, but seeing as we have a wealth of midfielders to choose from already, we can cope without him.

@dst.
1. He's just 19 years old, give him time.
2. Iv'e never said this guy is the next Maradona or anything.
If he turns out to be just an above-average striker, then fine by me.

I'll give him as much time as you want but if he turns out to be just an above-average striker, I'd be surprised!

Cause he hasn't shown any promise... of course I'm not Wenger, he knows great talent when he sees it and he has help develop so many great footballers... I'm going to have to see what he makes of Bendtner too.
