I wasn't sure where was the best place to ask this but anywayz
I was attempting to add a pic to my profile BUT i recieved the following message:

Welcome to your control panel - No Access Permissions
Sorry, the board administrator has not enabled your permissions for this part of the control panel.

Whats the reason for this?

You need to pay for that! If you pay you will also be able to see the v2 interface which is hidden for non-subscribers.

TriniKing_CE - Are you trying to add an avatar? I think I disabled profile photos (can't remember why now).

To add an avatar: My Controls -> Edit Avatar Settings -> Choose a pic and hit upload.

I was just simply tryin to upload a pic, from the left hand margin after clicking my controls and under the personal section, so that when i post i would have a pic under my name.
(Callin no names just how using some membersas examples how some have a fish as their pic when they post and another member has a duck, this is the type of pic i was tryin to change or upload i should say.)
If by adding avatar u mean adding a .gif image then no.
I didnt even get that far i recieved the error before i could have even attempted to upload a pic at all. (which in any case would have been a normal still pic - most prob a jpeg or something)

Click on My Controls and then under the Personal Profile tab, click on Edit Avatar Settings. Find a picture of your liking on the web and then copy\ Paste the link in the required area. Click on Update Avatar. If you want to upload your own picture from your hard drive, uplaod the picture onto imageshack.us and then copy and paste the direct link in the same place.

I appreciate your offers guys, but no help is needed. I've been working non-stop on the thing for the past few weeks, so it's pretty much a case of tying up loose ends at the moment.

There's no point releasing it until the summer anyway. New season, new squad (?), new site etc. Of course it's dragged on far too long, but unfortunately I don't get paid for doing this and need to work elsewhere quite a bit to pay the bills! Anyway, it will be released this summer 110%.

And thanks for all the feedback in this thread - a lot of the suggestions have made it in (and there's still time to add more if you can thing of anything interesting).

Oh, and definitely a new web host (for the database at least) - this one is so slower than a 34yr old Pirlo.

A couple of months back I was desperate for v2 so I can sign-up to the forum at least - used to check this thread for updates every week. But now you can take all the time in the world. I still missed celebrations for our Champions League triumph with you guys, though.



Oh, and if you're looking for hosting, I'd hands down recommend Surpass Hosting (http://www.surpasshosting.com). I've got all my sites hosted there, the cost is pretty cheap and service super awesome! Never had a problem, downtime, or slowdown with any website. When you're ready to move, let me know so I can refer you to the right person.

PS. See if you can use the latest version of IPB (Invision Power Board) - it's got several improvements than the one we're using now, and will make usability easier.

Yep, the new forum will be on IPB 2.3. Cheers for the hosting recommendation too. At the moment, I'm leaning towards http://www.medialayer.com/ as they specialise in PHP/MYSQL sites (which is 90% of v2), but I'll be sure to check out Surpass Hosting as well.

Thank, man. The new version of IPB has tons of improvements compared to this one. Just make sure you add in lots of smilies. I'll dig up some that are of the same quality and used on other IPB sites, and send them in when you're ready. And oh, Medialayer seems like a pretty decent solution too. Hopefully, everything goes well for you.

i have some offers :


1 - ( a flexible part ) a part that is easily linking to :

A- Official website as others said


B- All of the important sources that we use ( Italian like Gazzetta ... mediasetsport and others and in English like Goal , Channel4 , Uefa.com and some very important from other languages ( like spanish & portoguse )


C- making a suggestive rating for these sources reliability from users

* ( i think this part could be really useful because it can save our time )


2. we can see sometimes when we post some news , there is another place that it repeated or will repeat , because some of our topics added in another shape ( for example summer 2008 transfer windows is not the only topic that discuss the matter ) , with this way we will lose some part of the news and discussions


3. it would be very good that after every match we can upload highlights of the match in that match topic , definitly discussions will be more fresh and Hot


4. we need a part that have complete program of the team with the details in the whole season ( this is clear that with some changes you can change it )


5. a part that show us the more discussed players & news in front page maybe with this way we can show some most wanted desires of Milan fans to the public and even management !


6. personally i prefer another colors but i like the lightness of these colors

In every new thread about matches it would be good to have an automatic POLL included on it, with options: Win - Draw - Loss

Maybe it'd be good to see what kinds of predictors are MilanFans.

Man... I'm very excited for v2. It sounds like it's going to kick @ss. Once it's finished, I think we can expect the website to become much more popular than it is now. Maybe we could get acmilan.com to endorse us or something. I have some plans for it myself. Can't wait.
