QUOTE (d'Arc.LP @ Jan 9 2015, 09:20 AM) Oliveira, Huntelaar, Borriello, Matri, Pazzini and now Destro. Haven't we tried this ? All these deals exited us and then we got dissapointed. In the mean time, Inter signed Shaqiri. Damn. Oliveira was just plain rubbish, bad signing. KJH was excellent - Leo just didn't like him. Borriello was hit and miss. Matri - garbage, just didn't do it for us. Pazzo had been good up till about a year and a half ago, then he faded. Bit harsh to call him a failure. Destro, in all honesty, is better than all these bar KJH.

Finally agree on something with you guys. Witsel would be excellent, especially if De Jong is on his way out, but I just cannot understand why you'd want Destro

Witsel would be excellent, especially if De Jong is on his way out, but I just cannot understand why you'd want Destro FFS Han, now you're becoming repetitive. We need a forward to play as CF, and Destro is the best we can afford right now. Me and Danny, among others, rate him. If he comes, good. If he doesn't, whatever. We're also linked with Osvaldo who I also rate and wouldn't mind at all.

Destro, in all honesty, is better than all these bar KJH. My sentiments exactly. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/king.gif) Well put! Though I like to think Borriello was more miss than hit, the guy just got chance upon chance, starting matches left and right, while real talents like Pato and Huntelaar were sidelined to, well, left and right. Horrible positions for players of their caliber to be playing, totally out of position. Pato, at least, adjusted somewhat better. Huntelaar was just lost, being the poacher that he is.

"The best we can afford now" says it all, so you're okay with just buying anyone just to say we bought someone, this has been our policy for a while now. Buying someone just to shut the fans up. Buying a CF just for the sake of buying him The only type of CF that could be able to really pull it off at this Milan is one who is a creator just as much as he is a scorer. I don't think it's any shock that Ibra was the last successful striker we've had since Sheva. You really think a penalty area striker like Destro will make any difference for us? Or do you just want him because it's a transfer so you're happy as long as we sign someone?

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jan 9 2015, 04:23 PM) By the way, why doesn't De Jong want to renew his contract? Is there another club offering him a higher wage or what? As I've said before, if he renews his deal he loses out on Man Utd, and they're willing to pay 10M now and pay him about 4M Euros a year. Basically he either goes now and we get a sizeable sum for him, or he leaves for free this summer. Absolutely no way he'll sign a new deal IMO. He's given us fierce loyalty and 2+ excellent years. We're not going to make CL, probably won't make UEL either. He can leave with my blessing as he's wasted at a midtable Club. PS I'd be overjoyed if he stayed, but I'm saying I won't begrudge him leaving.

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jan 9 2015, 11:27 PM) Read above, I also said I rate him. I don't view him simply as a poacher. He's a good striker that can also make things happen for himself. He doesn't live solely on service. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one, as I don't claim to be someone who watches him avidly, but I've watched a few clips of him since we've been linked and his goals are usually tap-ins and the usual run of the mill type of goals that a poacher would score, and this is off a compilation vid, which usually tend to make players look 10 times better than they actually are...
