Armero? Completely lost in terms of position, clumsy passing, almost assisted a sure goal that Bonera managed to deflect from the line. Both are terrible.
Meh, I've said he's not a defender from the start, but he did make those 2 good challenges which had he not made we would have been in trouble because the Genoa player would have been clear through on both occasions
I'm not saying he was good, he's wasn't even half decent imo, but at least he was slightly useful on those occasions
Bonera cleared on the line sure, but the goal we conceded was totally his fault.

Yes. But sadly, we don't have many other options.
Not until Abate and DS are back at least...
Btw, does anyone know what's actually wrong with abate? He's been out for a month now with no projection on when he could be coming back, and we seriously need him, desperately.

Han sorry, but you left me speechless here. You like the midfield trio and speak about Muntari and Essien? So you managed to criticize them even if they weren't fielded? Oh come on! How was our midfield good? Sure, the system didn't work against Genoa especially, but then on a more general level Monto and Bona failed completely.
The midfield trio we had today would have been ideal for any situation imo, however, Genoa were playing a VERY aggressive game and only let up in the final 10 minutes or so in the game. I think it was a mistake to start with Monto who is obviously not fully fit so to start with him was stupid imo. Van ginkel did well last week, so why drop him? Don't forget we had De Jong as well who was coming off a long lay off as well, so that's 2 players in our midfield who didn't look all that comfortable on the pitch today, especially with the aggressive way Genoa were playing.
Essien and Muntari are both perpetually slow, had either one of them been playing our midfield would have struggled even more than it did today. Simple as that

You mean the guy that actually tried something? Yes, selfish. Yes, over dribbling. But hey, at least he's doing something and creates chances out of nothing. What did SES do other then act the occasional fullback? Or poor Honda?
Tried something? I'm sorry but being selfish is not trying for the team, it's trying for yourself, and this is a team game. There were at least 2 or 3 occasions where he could have passed to a wide open player (SES twice and Monto another) and he didn't. He either chose to shoot himself, or over-dribble (let the occasion pass) and make a pass back out wide. I'm sorry but I cannot feel anything but p!ssed at him because he's just so frustrating. Also, there was an occasion when Honda was trying to close the defender down and he was making a gesture for Menez to do the same when Genoa were passing around in defence. menez just raised his hand at him in a "leave me alone" gesture.

Agreed.
And Mexes once again with his dirty side. So many times I'm ashamed of him and Milan in general.
Yeah, Mexes lost his head at one point. He's frustrated as F@ck and I can't blame him tbh. Do I wish that he would keep his cool more? Of course, but that's obviously not going to happen with him, he's always been this way
But funny you bring up Mexes, since what I was most ashamed of today was seeing our own players bickering between each other, no one wanting to take responsibility and trying to blame the other.
Pippo has said from day 1 that he wants these players motivated, that he wants them to fight for the shirt, that tactics would come later etc, etc
But what I'm seeing now is a complete lack of tactical plan or know-how from Pippo, add to that, there's no passion or team spirit, the players mostly just seem frustrated with themselves and each other
