I agree that de Jong is a good player, but you are contradicting yourself here when just a few posts ago you said: "And pre-season games don't count much in assessing performances."

True, but we're talking about his condition, cos we already know that he's a good player.

Actually I'm not, performance is one thing, fitness is another.

I said De Jong is one of the most in shape players in pre-season. His fitness levels are better then everyone else's on the team right now, to leave him out would just be ridiculous. Never mind he's one of our best midfielders

De Jong has been one of the most in shape players in pre-season, he along with Monto are the only quality players in our midfield. Your personal dislike for him shouldn't cloud your judgment.

I don't care about "in shape". De Jong just isn't a good player. I watch enough EPL football to have seen an awful lot of him over the past 5 years. Dislike? I don't know him and he's not a media player, I know nothing about him personally to like/dislike.

You really need to get off this logic you have where if I don't think a player is good I dislike them for whatever reason.

QUOTE (han2503 @ Aug 20 2013, 03:41 PM) *
Second of all, you've been defending Allegri's decision to constantly play Muntari ever since he came here, no matter who the better alternative is, you've even went as far as to provide some terrible stats on Muntari's part to defend your stance.

I defending picking him over Nocerino. Ideally neither should play. That's my opinion, what Allegri does is irrelevant.

I just don't get your logic sometimes. I don't rate Boateng at all, I think Abate is poor - 2 players Allegri has used as much as he can over the last few seasons - and yet apparently I agree with everything he does? If you want to argue, find someone else, because I can't be arsed and it's clear that's what you're looking for.

I meant your dislike for him as a player. What does disliking him as a person have to do with it here?

Wow, talk about being defensive!

Those are your opinions on the players though, generally speaking Abate is highly regarding and he's the first choice RB for Italy as well. So once again, you underrating him has nothing to do with this.

Boateng is a frustrating player, once again, you terribly underrate him, I see him for what he is, a terribly inconsistent player who has been constantly played out of position which really does not help with the aforementioned inconsistency.

However Muntari is an actual bad player that is getting regular starts at Milan simply because the coach likes his style. If you don't think that he should be starting why do you constantly defend Allegri's decision to start him? That's all I'm asking here. No need to get all sensitive about it.

You were making fun of people in pre-season because we were complaining about Muntari starting, saying that it's just a friendly no need to get bent about it, but here it is, an official match and he's starting again.

Maybe that IS what I meant and I tricked you into thinking you were wrong. Who's the smart one now? wink.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif
Jack Bauer
Zoet; Brenet, Bruma, Rekik, Willems; Schaars, Maher; Park, Wijnaldum, Depay; Matavz.

Abbiati; Abate, Mexes, Zapata, Urby; Montolivo, De Jong, Muntari; Boateng, Balotelli, El Shaarawy.
William405
Hmm, are Muntari and Urby on the same side? That might work.

One slow and lazy, the other can't defend. What's Allegri thinking???
Fillipo Simone
We'll see.

I just heard Mexes in the tunnel: "C'mon guys, let's do this, cazzo. These are just kids, cazzo"

First idiotic long ball from Muntari. dry.gif

They are killing us.
KillerMax
Milan under Allegri are shameful. SHAMEFUL.
han2503
Just ridiculous how we're wide open at the back
KillerMax
I feel sick... puke.gif
X-Offender
These guys are really good, whilst we're crap beyond belief. I don't think we'll make it.
han2503
I feel like we're going to get creamed if things keep going as they are.
Fillipo Simone
Right back where we ended last season. Not even an inch forward. That's Allegri's handwriting, no matter how pathetic this mercato went.

And looking at this system, one can only assume that Ljajic/Honda would take Boateng's spot, so virtually not much would change. We'd still have this unimaginative midfield.
X-Offender
EL SHAA!!!
William405
SHARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWY!~
Fillipo Simone
Typically.
han2503
YESSS
Fillipo Simone
And btw, didn't Allegri pledge to change his system in one of those crucial meets with Berlu?
han2503
Nice from Abate wink.gif
Fillipo Simone
Balo almost for 0-2
William405

The fact is he isn't capable tactically to do that. 4-3-3 is his crutch

Tasso is a puppet, let's face it. How can a 4-3-3 be ideal when we have no wingers, even a person who has the most basic concept of what football is can see this

Because to them Boateng and Niang are wingers, whereas Bojan isn't. Idiots.

I can feel the provincial mentality kicking in already. Let's park the bus!
KillerMax
My eyes hurt watching this... It's unbelievable how bad we play... No plan, nervous, wayward passing, shambolic defending and playing "ROUGH"...
X-Offender
Too many mistakes from Urby so far.
han2503
Some of our players look completely off colour.

Abate, Mexes, SES and De Jong and the only ones who look remotely fit
