Horrible officiating. A true disaster.
But I have to say, letting this one slide is typical Allegri yet again. It's the same as usual, whenever a new goal appears in front of us, we slip up. As soon as expectations reach a low point, we emerge yet again as a "strong" contender. Last years scudetto race, take this years Barcelona experience or our current run.
Balotelli and Sharaawy are getting on my nerves. What kind of attack is this exactly? Are they working attackers or what? Is Allegri trying to redefine this position?

This has been the most ugly performance by a referee I've ever seen. Gives a red card to Fiorentina, which at HT he must have re-watched and realized that it was exaggerated. After that, he tries his best to make up for it, by giving a non-existent penalty to the whiners and then not hesitating to give the second. Then he completely ignores 2 CLEAR penalties for us, one on Abate and one for a blatant handball. Absolutely ridiculous. Even worse than Ovrebo in Chelsea-Barça.
As for us, we should be ashamed of letting all of this happen.
So, so pissed right now.

How come no one mentions the WIND? it was terrible and totally influenced the game on many occasions.
As for DS, yes he gave away a penalty and lost a few balls after it but come on, he was solid for the entire game especially defensively. that mistakes had to happen someday. I'm more disappointed in Balo, SES and Prince.
Tagliavento needs to go **** himself. got 3 penalty decisions totally wrong.

Apr 7 2013, 01:45 PM
Re-watching all the incedents on the analysis show, and it's just a shocking performance from the ref all round. The last call on that penalty for us, he was directly infront of the incident when the player literally stuck his hand out to the ball and he just stood there.
It's obvious he wanted to atone for the red, but 1 penalty was enough to give 2 and then ignore 2 blantant ones on us was just unbelievable.
But I have to say, ref or no ref. We should have buried this ages ago and it's our entire fault that we didn't win this. Very typical. And Allegri last 2 subs were just plan old stupid and typical of his mediocre self

Well, if we wanna be frank about it, this game kinda makes up for all the calls we've got in our favor for this season. One meter offside goal of El Shaarawy against Catania, inexistent penalty against Juventus, yet another inexistent penalty against Udinese, at least two penalties not awarded to Genoa, just to name the most blatant ones.
I'm just pissed how the team could let all of this happen. They are the real culprits today, despite how horrific the referee was.

We were 2-0 up against one of the best teams this season at their own backyard. how much more "buried" should it have been? blaming Allegri for the result is plain ridiculous. individual errors cost us 2 points. and again, that wind affected Fionretina in the 1st half and then us in the 2nd half. it added some 20 km/h to the speed of Pizzaro's PK! Abbiati would've otherwise saved it IMO.

Buried as in woke the f@ck up out of whatever stupor they had settled into and actually played the game against the 10 men and not just winged it as it came. It was clear that they had basically no intention of playing. And no matter how good Fiorentina have been this season at home they were still a man down and 2 goals down, and instead of taking control we slipped into neutral and decided that what was done already was enough.
That's motivation 101 failing for you. We shouldn't have even allowed them to get into the positions they did for either penalty simple as that. But the players switched off completely. And if you don't think that's the coach's fault then we should stop this discussion here and now.
And now blaming the wind for it is seriously reaching a new low of excuses

Taking a look at the remaining fixtures, Napoli have a really easy schedule. The only "tough" opposition they have to face are Inter and Roma in the last week, when things will have probably been decided. Even if we beat them this Sunday, I think we can forget about 2nd place considering our own schedule.

It's because his reputation is bigger than himself and his actions most of the time.
Most of the yellows he's received to come to this suspension were mostly refs trying to make their point with him. It's like they try to stamp their authority on him just to look like the big dudes on the block.
And another thing is that certain players in Serie A get a lot more respect than others, I'm talking about guys like Cambiasso, Ambro, Zanetti, Buffon, etc. The real veterans of the league who are respected. I can mostly talk about Ambro here as he's the one I watch regularly, I've seen him go into numerous dangerous tackles before the ref even thinks about producing the card. Balo lifts his foot up and inch too high and the ref whips the card out.
Anyway, I personally think we'll miss him the most against Catania our of those 3 games believe it or not. I think we'll play a counter attacking game against both Napoli and Juve and personally I think Pazzini is more suited to that style of play. He's more patient to wait for the opportunities to present themselves and he's more willing to work hard and close down than Balo
