is pato back on field???
han2503
btw, is Urby even playin? Haven't seen him yet rolleyes.gif
Fillipo Simone
Hmh, honestly, I wouldn't say it was a just penalty. Milan scored now 6 goals from penalties, Serie A record.

We lead, yet we didn't do anything. No possession, no build-up.
kurtsimonw
How many penalties this season? biggrin.gif

6. But only one of them was a complately wrong decision

han2503
The players really need to pick it up. I can't see us winning this at this rate
m1ke
Been impressed with Mexes so far.

So far he's been perfect.

What hasen't impressed me is that midfield, and our FBs are certainly not helping out the situation
m1ke
Yep, Atalanta winning in the midfield battle. And Zambro looks well off the pace.

Bonera looks worse.

While Zambro is being expected to push up since he's our only wide outlet, and he simply cannot do that anymore
han2503
Giving them chances now
han2503
Robinho just has to come on. His runs will at least create some spaces to work in for Ibra and Pato

Fillipo Simone
Emanuelson is a freakin' joke. The guy is obviously a side player, but Allegri seems to see a creative AM in him. What's next? Pippo doing the job?

Who??? For Pete's sake, CHU. rolleyes.gif

QUOTE (han2503 @ Jan 8 2012, 03:23 PM) *
Are you freakin kidding me with this chu??

We need players who will make a difference, playing a youth player really won't make any sense as he would be easily bowled over by an Atalanta side who will play a very physical game.

So what if we don't have a typically creative player in the midfield?? We still mostly rely on Ibra to create the goal opportunities, Aqui just keeps the ball moving, something Boateng will still manage to do without much trouble.

And who's talking about Monto or Merkel?? They're not even part of the team! Our options are Urby or Robs, which is why EVERYONE here wants Robinho to start behind the strikers which would be the logical thing to do

Agreed

So if it's such a bad idea, why are we all now complaining about Emanuelson, as usual?

I think emulson will be much better at full back rather than AM.. something like valencia does at manu now days

I don't blame him, he's being played in a position where he clearly has no idea what the hell he's doing. Allegri just should not have played him there

I think Robinho would be the better option, he makes those runs that create a lot of space, and that is what we really need atm.

I don't really feel that this is the right place for El Shaa to come on. Atalanta are very good imo, and don't forget unbeaten at home. If it's possible we need to score another goal and close up shop ASAP once the 2nd half begins

Why isn't Pato allowed to take the penalties he's earned?! isn't Ibra taking a bit too many penalties this season? he's probably scored more goals from the spot than in regular play!

Isn't that what we were talking about to begin with?? That Urby shouldn't be starting in the AM position but Robinho should be the one for that role? Yet you prefer Urby/Valoti etc?

Most teams have a few designated penalty takers with a #1.

Is he even any good at them? I ocall him taking 1 for us and he didn't score.

I think Ibra is just the better taker...

Pato will get goals like he usually does, but the way we're playing isn't really helping our strikers, not even Ibra, who at this point only has 6 goals from open play

It's 6+6. In Italy players who earn the penalty don't shoot it out of superstition.

Not at Madrid... wink.gif

I don't have any problem with Ibra being the #1 penalty taker but it won't hurt if every now and then Pato took one for a change. would be good for his confidence.

1 penalty surely doesn't indicate anything. no one knows if he's good or bad at penalties until he takes a few of them.

Yeah, buy all the strikers in the world, won't make much difference when you don't have a proper midfield with a proper AM/trequartista.

Fair enough, Ibra had to take this one. but I was talking in general. if we're leading a game 2-0 and Pato earns a penalty, Ibra would still take it. that's what I was getting at.
Milan Are Brilliant
Wow, how did they not score? Holding on.
han2503
Denis off the post!

We're going to conceed is we don't watch it. They're inviting them to attack

Tribbocchi is a very fine striker, 2 years ago he had 4-5 wondergoals in his effort to keep Atalanta up. Truly a gritty technical player.

Ibra does it all the time. At the end of the day the game will say another goalless game by Pato and King Ibra saves the day again. I'd have REALLY preferred the duck to break his 2012 competitive duck

Great win, looked nervy but big, big win.

World's worst attacking play ever from Nocerino but because he's not Robinho it won't get brought up after today
