I still stand by the fact that there were two pathetic teams playing today. sleep.gif You can't let in 3 goals in a match (let alone a half) and say you have a good team. Any half decent team on a bad day shouldn't let in 3 goals. And well then, Lecce upped it up a notch by letting in 4. Regardless of the comeback, the fact remains that we have problems.

Whenever I see a team letting in more than 2 goals, that automatically means there's something wrong.

One of said goals was a penalty that shouldn't have been given. I'm more worried about Abbiati's fumbles that lead to the penalty more then the goal itself

I can understand frustration at HT, seriously we were 3-0 down, I'm not doubting that.

Though when people turn against the whole side just like that, it's, well disappointing.

Perhaps I'm a bit more used to terrible results being a Torquay fan laugh.gif

Beauty of football my friend. Fans are fickle.

Look at the Manc Derby - 30,000+ spoiled fans left before the full time whistle instead of supporting their team in the face of adversity. That pr!ck Keane was right about one thing - UTD do have a serious Prawn Sandwich Brigade.

To be honest that happens everywhere, especially when you're getting battered by your rivals.

Though true, just another example of modern fans.

Agreed, but still, these things are to be taken into consideration when we sign the dotted line. smile.gif I mean, our third goal could have been disallowed for being on the line if the ref/assistant were blind. At the end of the day, we still let in 3 goals. Against Lecce. In the first half. While playing with a strong enough team. With 3 DMs.

Oh and about Abbiati, I've stopped worrying about him. dry.gif I can only imagine if Dida were the one starting. With our bald-headed friend, it's either a fumble, slip up, standstill, or at the very least kicking the ball to the opposing player on a goal kick. It seems that he really needs to have his radar check up by a professional.

I think it's a psychological problem. Because we have the exact same defense that was for most of last season rock solid, even enhanced now, struggling and conceding goal after goal.

How many times did Allegri this seasons start completely wrong, not only in terms of formation and tactic, but also in terms of our starting eleven's mindset and game plan?

One side not I do want to remark - Ibra looks a bit too cosy and relaxed. I think last season he showed much more motive and will, while nowadays he's starting to give a layed back impression. But that's also Allegri's fault.

Sarcastic? In what way?

No. Seriously, I think Ibra does not look as motivated as last season. It sure is natural, but I think Allegri's fixation to keep Ibra every match from minute one to match end also helped.

Oh, now I kind of get you more, I thought you were putting Zlatan's desire, or lack of effort down to Allegri when we've seen throughout his career he's like that.

Since I'm from the US and don't speak Italian I'm a bit confused as to the nature of these clips. Is there really a show dedicated to watching some old guys sit around and watch the game?

The big problem is, I actually ain't sure about it. You see, every time he makes a step forward, he makes two or three back. The Palermo game went down excellent, we had 2 wins in a row and 0 goals conceded. Yet once again he decided to temper with the squad and look what happened.

IMO he's simply learning to slow. In the end, that will burn him out.

He's a rather reactive coach.

Ambro comes in--->
Alergy: "uuh I gotta put the captain in huh?" blink.gif Probably a better approach would have been to ease Ambro in to see if he was still capable (which he seems not to btw)

iBra scores well half of last season---->
Allergy: "duuuh I gotta keep playin him NO MATTER WHAT" dry.gif

Taiwo comes in ------>
Allergy "errr who is this guy? blink.gif " Hmmm better make him watch some Serie A DVD's before he gets to play. I'll stick to Anto even though he's crap. He's Italian and knows the league

And the list goes on and on. Allegri spends a LOT of the time actually correcting HIS mistakes over the course of the next two~three subsequent games. As opposed to a coach who institutes proactive measures to deal with situations.

Post not well laid out I apologise but I hope the thrust of my complaint is clear/makes sense

Hahaha. No, it's a football show where they talk about everything, not just comment games.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the pre-half time posts, especially the "because of Yepes we'll lose" and the "I bet he'll put on boateng and think it'll make a difference" style posts. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Allegri was out of his mind playing Ambro but he changed up his team accordingly and got the deserved win.
Milan Are Brilliant
My hands are clear for HT, some of the posts were bordering on ridiculousness, especially the whole squad is no where near good enough to win the league posts laugh.gif

I do love some of you crazy guys at times.

Sorry, but Allegri scrambled to try to correct the mistakes he once again made. The fact that Boateng pulled a hattrick out of his @ss in the end means nothing in terms of Allegri's tactical acumen. I'm still as sick of him and his stupid decisions as I was yesterday during HT.

Aquilani has assisted or scored in every game he's played for us so far when he started, while Boateng only has so so performances because he's in a position that does not suite him (Allegri's fault as well) Why he decided to drop them is beyond me. Nocerino is going too far against these types of teams when you have VB, adding Ambro is overkill. Add to that that Ambro could barely put a foot right and we had a disaster in that midfield.

And you can bet your house that Allegri hasn't learnt his lesson, and we'll see another top class midfield combo like we did yesterday. It's just typical Allegri. Maybe next time he'll out-do himself and play Rino instead of Nocerino when Rino has recovered.

Ambro--Rino--VB

The stuff of nightmares for us, the stuff of wetdreams for Maximillion rolleyes.gif

You say let's move on because you've only seen the result, not the shambles that was the 1st half performance yesterday. If you had seen it, you wouldn't be so willing to move on

Shambolic 1st half, solid 2nd half? I'll take that. it's actually a positive sign. and I don't need to see the game, coming back from 3 goals down to win a game, even if it's vs Lecce, is a considerable feat.
William405
It was mostly due to Boateng, you can say he almost single handedly won us the game.
