We don't really have any options on the bench. My only question is why we're trying to go up the left flank when Bonera is on that side?

Seedorf isn't our problem; at least not the only problem. Both flanks are in fact useless - Abate running up and down all the time, leaving much free space behind him, while gaining us nothing with his forward skills. Nocerino and Bommel are cut off and don't look especially good as well, just like Pato.

All that praise for our defending against Barça goes down the drain after tonight's pathetic performance. We conceded two stupid goals, especially the second was unbelievable. Seedorf is killing me with his turtling around. Aquilani must play in that position and El Shaarawy as trequartista.

i think seedorf has done quite okay, as for abate yea his forward runs left so much sapce that cavani is n marked for the second goal... i think the whole team is not playing that good and to make things worse the bench does not provide many options for us as well....

I really don't know. But it's painful to watch them goddammit, all of them. Cafu or Sergio would now appear as eye candies. I mean, what's the point really, Abate, Bonera, Antonini all bombing forward, leaving us vulnerable yet producing nothing.

the flanks arn't useless, it's just Napoli's tactical setup, their widemen are further up all the time, so if abate wants to bomb upward he has to first beat Dossena, then he's face to face with Aronica.. We need to build through the middle.

I would give that a go. Lacking any speed in midfield and very static, 4 v 5 in that midfield we need some movement up ahead, Cassano is getting on my tits, he doesnt seem to realise he is only on the first 11 due to injuries he has done nothing in last two games to try and make that spot his own......Lazy ****.

Abate did the same thing last season.
As a whole, the team is suffering, we're just not up to speed yet, last season we had time to iron out the kinks against, Lecce, Cesena, Catania etc, and still we lost points in those games. This season we've started badly again and have to contend with Lazio, Barca, Napoli and Udine in the 1st 4 games of the season. Add to that, we had a dismantled squad due to a massive injury haul.
We need to absolutely take the draw off Napoli, we can't let them take 3 points off us. Someone needs to step up, Pato and Cassano need to work better together, Seedorf needs to move the ball better same goes for Aqui, Nocerino and Abate need to show energy to spark life into this game for us.
Bonera is usless I take what I said back, give me calamity Antonini at least he does something when we're in possesion

I doubt it. Emo doesn't strike me as a player that could influence the build up. Allegri uses him to as a closure sub.

I don't get blaming Abate to be honest, yes the goal was scored from the right side, but the problem is that we were caught dead on the counter. It's the same problem we had at the beginning of last season as well. I don't understand how we've regressed like this.
Pato needs to wake up. Cassano has been more lively then him and has gotten into better position but he needs to stop whining

Only just got in, but it's worrying to see we've conceeded two again.
Bonera isn't really at fault for either, in my opinion. Yes he gave away a free kick, but we failed to deal with the free kick at all. 2nd goal was just poor all round. Abbiati should've probably done better on both goals too.

If I had to blame this on someone, I'd blame it on Allegri. If the team is playing without grit and determination, it's his fault for not injecting the right mentality into the players. I switch to Real and I see a bunch of players running like crazy to equalize. I turn back to Milan, and I see a bunch of slugs walking without ideas and determination. It's called winning mentality, and we don't have it.
