Max is a genius.

Also Roma beat Bayern 3-2 despite trailing them by 2 goals at the HT.

Borriello scored one and earned a winning penalty which Totti converted...
han2503
And my record continues!!!

I am GOOD!!! biggrin.gif

Terrible first half, really good professional 2nd half. With 2 moments of brilliance

Wonderful goals tonight!

I'd like to see a very young team against Ajax.

let's just say they're both superb.
William405
Notice the improvement when KPB was sub'ed in.We just need some minor changes to this formation, and we'll be great.Thiago silva proving again his worth, surely was our best defender.Flamini played with heart and desire but he lacked some technical shizz. Also,KPB was great and seedorf was decent.Robinho again was below average...

At Ajax the most important thing is to rest Nesta, Ibra and Seedorf imo. Win or lose it doesn't really matter, however without those 3 we'd still be putting on a strong line-up. Especially if Pirlo is back. Maybe even give Strasser a real chance

+1

Nesta was a God when he was Silva's age. at 33 it's normal for him to be not PERFECT.

I like the idea of that. Players like Strasser, Merkel and Verdi should be thrown in for at least 60 mins. And as you said, win or lose, we are in!

Since win or lose doesn't matter I'd rather treat it almost like a Coppa match and play everyone who doesn't normally play. i.e. Merkel, Strasser, Jankulovski etc.

Ibra got a 5minute rest,he won't need any rest for after 20 other games...

If I were the coach I'd make sure that happens but somehow our coaches don't. maybe they don't want the team to lose its momentum or something.. I bet most (but obviously not all) of our XI will play that game as well.

considering we will probably include some youth i think it's best to place a solid stay at home DM to simplify things for the kids. Also, i think we will need boetang alot more these next weeks

Good win, looks like we're going to have to hope on the luck of the draw though. Any 'bad' teams going to win their group?

Defensively, we're becoming better with every match, though Auxerre were quite pathetic themselves. Instead, we played like crap up forward. Most opportunities we had were accidental. Thank god Pirlo will be coming back next game, cause we won't live much longer with that midfield. Too bad Allegri will show his incompetence and bench a really good Flamini instead of a ridiculous Gattuso. rolleyes.gif

Shakhtar and Lyon could be a good draw. Bayern and United are aslo beatable this year. There's even a chance that Spurs might win their group.

But knowing our luck, we'll probably get Chelsea or Barcelona. dry.gif

Allegri: 'An important result'

Massimiliano Allegri is celebrating qualification, Ronaldinho’s goal and a Milan clean sheet.

“I’m glad for Ronaldinho, as it wasn’t easy for him to come on and make an impact in the final minutes,” said the Coach after a 2-0 win in Auxerre.

The Brazilian has been dropped for five official games in a row, but came off the bench to net.

“We all understood that in order to achieve certain results, we all need to sacrifice ourselves and work hard.
The team realised that quickly and it’s going well in Serie A and the Champions League.”

However, there must be concerns that Zlatan Ibrahimovic always has to break the deadlock with a moment of magic, especially as he complained of exhaustion.

“It would be tricky without Ibrahimovic, as we don’t have someone of the same characteristics,” confessed Allegri.

“We could play Ronaldinho and Robinho together for a side with great technique, but less physical presence.

“This qualification gives us strength and it is an important night for us. I am also very glad that we kept a clean sheet for the third time.

“We are solid, don’t allow our opponents much and create at least four or five clear-cut chances per game.”

Ibrahimovic hails Ronaldinho

Zlatan Ibrahimovic admits he was exhausted by the end of the Auxerre match and hailed teammate Ronaldinho.
“We tried to score throughout this difficult game and Auxerre were aggressive, but at the end we won 2-0,” said the Milan hitman.

“I scored a great goal and the team did well, so now we can relax for the final match.

“I was very tired at the end and was making too many mistakes, so I asked to be substituted. Ronaldinho came on and scored, so it all worked out.”

Ronaldinho has been benched for the last five games on the trot in all competition, but made an impact in only five minutes on the field.

“The whole team is very happy for Ronaldinho. He isn’t playing much, but he works hard in training and we are all behind him.”

The Rossoneri are now qualified for the knock-outs, but they are in second place behind Real Madrid.

This means the side they face in the next round will be the winners of a group.

“Every game makes us stronger and whoever we face will be worried. We play our football, that is all.”

I think were gonna lose our 4th spot this year guys sad.gif

Stupid sampdoria and Palermo! They care too f*ckin much about serie A.
MizNelson
Ibra praising a Brazilian? Oh, the horror!
kurtsimonw
He probably thought he had to after everyone practically labelled him a racist for saying he prefers playing with Pippo better.
amancik
I have a hunch that after Allegri's statement, we might see Ronaldinho and Robinho starting together against Sampdoria with Ibra on the bench.

yeah just pissed that starting next year were going to have to get 2nd place if we want direct entry into champions league. Makes Italian league worst and more in debt.
