And noone noticed there's only one DM?

It's a projected lineup for a reason. tongue.gif Anything can change by the time the match starts.

^^

It certainly is! I don't think Pato is going to start. dry.gif he will be tired from internationals, and on the other hand Pippo will have had [ I know...! wacko.gif ] one week to prepare for this one. Carlo will certainly prefer a fresh and ready-to-go Pippo.

while Tennie is on holiday i will do my best to try and cover her hard work...unfortunaltey everything will be late because of that damn work thing...ok here goes

today at Milanello after yesterdays double session training started at 14.30 today those involved with their N.T's trained inside along with Borriello. Some attacking training was done by Coach Carlo followed by a 7v7 game

Senderos and Pirlo took part in full training

Zambrotta and Antonini accompanied by Ambrosini worked on sprints and change of direction

the session finished at 16.30 and will resume again tomorrow at 14.30

hope thats ok for you all wink.gif

i can forsee this very line up being a Scudetto winning line up if Carlo dares field it. that mediaset projected lineup is an amazing line up. Even though its the christmas tree, with pirlo and seedorf next to eachother we'll keep hold of the ball instead of losing it often and winning it back often which just bogs the game down. As long as those two play next to each other whether we play with one or two strikers won't really matter as long as there is quality up front..

pirlo being back kinda gave me a new outlook on things. I hope Carlo drops a DM and not Clarence/Dinho!

cry.gif that line up just made me shed a tear.

I would love for that one to be the one we use against Torino. I have no doubt that we would find it easier to break Toro down if we use that one.

Totally 100% agreed.

I personally don't really believe that Carlo will drop a DM for Seedorf + Pirlo, but one can't help but hope.

As for someone mentioning Sheva. I think he should be used in the UEFA Cup, especially with the games we have in the upcoming weeks.

Better to let Sheva and Pippo for that one, with maybe even Seedorf as trequartista (as long as Pirlo and Flamini and are playing in the midfield 3) and keep the squad well rested for the following Serie A game. This is the time when Carlo will really be tested. He has a massive squad under his hands, he has the freedom to put in 2 different teams on the pitch while still maintaining the quality of the first 11 and the bench, he should use them wisely. If he rotates the team well, we are capable of going into the Christmas break still in good physical condition instead of going into it with our tongues hanging out fighting to make it through the last game
vnata001
yup yup yup. additionally, if this lineup were to be able to play together consistently..pato would get the space he needs to go on his tricky defense splitting runs.

This season pato needs to makes strides towards becoming a dynamic, creative goal getter so the squad can be raring to go for the kick off of the CL campaign 09/10

any time the word sluggish is associated with Ronaldinho it's a bit of an eye-roller. But it seems likely that the entire atmosphere at Milanello gets a bit suppressed when most of the main squad players are away on int'l duty as the competition level probably drops.

Regardless, the fact that we drew Lecce last week means that we'll be that much hungrier come this Sunday so I'm still confident in the 3 pts.

the whole squad was there this was earlier in the week and today..he just looks so slow compared to everyone else training around him..but 3 points are vital and hopefully a draw in the Derby D'Italia will put us top come sunday evening wink.gif

todays training consisited of Jankulovski,Kaka and Rino doing sprints with short sprints followed by short recovery
they were then joined by Ambrosini,Antonin and Pirlo

the rest of the players had shooting practise..this was then followed by all players having a meeting with Mr.Ancelotti followed then by a 11 vs 11 practise match every played except Borriello who worked seperatley in the gym

tomorrow at 13.00 Mr.Ancelotti will hold a press conference with training resuming at 14.30

CESARE NATALI: 'Milan have to know it won't be an easy game for them'
11/21/2008

MILAN - Torino's official website reports the declarations made today during a press conference by defender Cesare Natali at the end of the training session ahead of Sunday's game against the Rossoneri: "I think that Milan's complete star is Seedorf: from a tactical, technical and personality point of view. We will need to have courage, independently from the fact we are meeting Milan, because we are playing at home and because we know we have weapons at our disposal. We will have to try and deny them space, make them feel our breath on their necks, make sure we always manage to stop their moves. Milan must know it won't be an easy game for them."

This is what I was talking about in the Sacchi thread the other day. it happens almost every game, opponent players warning us that they will cause us problems, it won't be easy for us, etc.

We're a well respected side (more than Juve [hated for Calciopoli & cheating] and Inter [always hated]) but nowadays smaller teams don't seem to fear us that much anymore. they know we never play up to our real potential.

Couldn't have put it better myself, even if I tried. sad.gif Teams are in the mood when they play us, thinking they're in with a chance. And they are, to be honest, bar that late goal, or lucky strike. I'm not complaining, but if we turn a blind eye and think everything's okay, then it will hurt us in the long run. Quote me on this.

carlo conference said that kaka will start, pirlo maybe, zambrotta like last week situation will be evluated then what i understood he said ka-pa-ro is hard to use with ka-r80 we need a box stiker then he commented on sheva that he is getting better but there is a lot of competetion....... so it mean that carlo is most likly to start with pippo again our weakest stiker and he will play with as usual 2 DMs bcoz pirlo may be is gonna mean that he will come of the bench

training report for today..everyone except Zambrotta took part in full training he will not travel due to a stiff neck, after a group meeting intense tactical training took place with time diveded between tactical ball possession and then using different offensive and defensive shapes Mr.Ancelotti used and rotated all players finally free-kicks and shooting practise finished the session

Here is the list of the 20 summoned to Turin:

Abbiati, Dida, Kalac, Antonini, Bonera, Favalli, Jankulovski, Kaladze, Maldini, Senderos, Emerson, Flamini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Inzaghi, Kakà, Pato, Shevchenko, Ronaldinho.

Because like Miz and acid said in the Sheva thread, Carlo stillhas issues with Sheva, therefore that means we'll see him only on rare occasions this season.

He'll keep saying he's improving every week but that it's still not enough. Meanwhile he's feilding Pippo ahead of him or Pato.... rolleyes.gif

pippo was a gr8 player but now i think he is quite useless now he can only score when a tap in or one on one with this mentality get ready for 1-0 wins or even 0-0 draws

It's not that I think he's useless, but that he would be more useful when played next to a second striker. Sure you need more of a box player at the head of the xmas tree but that would be someone like Boriello who is a target man, not like Pippo, a poacher that doesn't aid the team in any way unless we're in the opposition's box.

I agree. Playing Pippo to a SS like Sheva would make much more sense. Still, Pippo of all other strikers never is useless.

QUOTE
THE MATCH AGAINST TORINO
“It’s normal that in these days there is more talk about inter-Juventus, but we don’t underestimate the encounter. We must continue to do well away from home, just like Lecce, but obviously with a different result. The draws at Cagliari and Lecce? We met two teams that at that moment were in a very good condition. Even Torino must not be underestimated. We shall find a very warm atmosphere, around them there is a lot of passion. Formation doubts? The unavailable players are Nesta and Borriello, we shall evaluate Zambrotta today for his neck problem. Kaka? He will play as he does not have any problems related to the national team. I must say that the condition of the squad is good and in the coming days and matches we shall be able to rotate various players. In the last games we have improved also under the game profile and our growth is well addressed."

ANDREA PIRLO’S RETURN
“Pirlo has great qualities in building up the game, he gives us more alternatives in the attacking phase. Rino did well instead of him, but Andrea has characteristics which are fundamental for us, like the long ball forward. Today there is a different participation to the defensive phase, I don’t think that Andrea’s return will bring any defensive unbalance. He’s in a good condition and can play from the start.”

THE iNTER-JUVENTUS CLASH
“I don’t think that we can do any calculations on this game, as both teams are direct rivals for the Scudetto. It’s a very balanced league and I don’t think that any team will run away.”

RONALDINHO’S RAPPORT
“The declarations of Ronaldinho towards me pleased me a lot. For certain verses, he was a surprise for me.”

THE OFFENSIVE PHASE
"The attackers don't score much? We have made many rotations and this fact has influenced the finishing phase of individual players. Sheva? In m opinion he has reached a good condition and he’s ready to play very good games. Unfortunately we are a team where competition is high. The two years of inactivity weighed down on Sheva, he started working and today he has improved a lot. Even Ronaldinho found back his condition, thanks to his will and the very good performances on the pitch. Pato? He’s an important player, but with particular characteristics. Pato, Kaka and Ronaldinho cannot play together. He prefers to go on the side and is working to become a central striker. He prefers to move on the side and we need a central striker. Borriello? He will return during the week, I don’t know yet if it will be for the Uefa Cup.”

SENDEROS AND JANKULOVKSI’S CONDITIONS
“I don’t think that mistakes were made with Senderos. Obviously he lost time to put himself in line with his team-mates, but now he’s available. Janku? He's in a good moment. He does very well when he does not have physical problems which make him a bit insecure.”

I saw a disjointed match where inter seemed to have two extra players than Juve in the midfield. I saw a brain-dead Nedved, a quiet Piero and a fluke goal where half the Juventus team was appealing for a foul (including the goalkeeper). rolleyes.gif I can't believe you think it was the best game of Serie A so far. Because, frankly the inter vs Udinese game was miles ahead of this one where the Udi strikers were creating something. Or at least trying to create something.

If Juve can't stop the inter juggernaut (after Milan), I don't know who can? huh.gif Maybe I had high expectations for this match with two equal teams tussling out one another. You may have had a different idea, which is okay. But seriously the Juve of old would literally be crying after this performance. Their defense did alright marshaled by Chiellini, but the creative part of midfield and attack was on vacation it seemed. Best game of Serie A so far? I'm of the opinion it was a country mile (or two) behind the Milan derby, where both teams were dolling it out to one another.

I'd have killed for a Juve win or inter draw. sleep.gif Too bad both of these options never happened.
