Not really I knew he would miss it from the moment he stepped up to take it

You could probably have put him in the same position against a team like Fulham in EPL for a hundred times and he wouldn't have missed one single spot kick, but put him on the spot in the CL semi against Barca and he would miss 99 times out of hundred, he just doesn't have any b@lls when the big games come knocking, look at how Kaka showed him up last season, it's because Kaka is a player that always shows up for the big occasion while Ronaldo does not

Kaka' made a good CL last year. So what?

Cristiano is 10 times the player Kaka' is at the moment. He had a bad season. It's a fact. Ibrahimovic had a good season handing for the 2nd consecutive year Inter the scudetto.

Kaka' did OK in the mickey mouse cup... against Boca Juniors. Big deal.

Kaka' was a f zero against Arsenal this year too.

He did well against the reserves (defence) of Man Utd last season, OK. And in the final when Mascherano was subbed for Crouch (more space).  rolleyes.gif
*

Kaka had a knee injury while playing against Arsenal.

It's not about who the player is up against it's about whether he performs or not under pressure. If Kaka had been the tyre of player to crack under pressure he wouldn't have scored those goals or made those assists no matter what defence he was up against or whether or not Mascherano was on the field.

I don't know what Zlatan would do in that situation because Inter, god bless their under performing soles have never been in a situation were Zalatan had to play in a final but personally I see him cracking just like Ronaldo still managed to miss a penalty in the semi because he just couldn't handle the pressure

are you kidding me? yeah the diver is 10x better right now but a lot of it has to do with his team. He doesnt have to play with trash week in week out. If kaka was in man u too i bet he would slaughter every team like the pretty boy does. Ibra shoudln't even be in this debate. He hasn't done anything to get his name even mentioned among kaka or cr7.

All you people thinking that Ibrahimobitch is amazing must be out of their minds. When has he EVER performed well against a Big side in big games?
Today's game against Parma was not against a big side was it? In my opinion, he is like Cronaldo - amazing against shite defenders and a complete flop against good ones. I mean, look at zlatan's performance against liverfool? How many times did he have the chance to score in good positions? I can count about 5.
*

There's a difference between Kaka', Zlatan and Ronaldo. The latter two don't play so well against top teams, but Kaka' does. It's all well and good, but how many games a season do you really play against top teams? Not so many.

Where are Milans big names when we need them against smaller teams in must-win situations? That is something Zlatan and Ronaldo do, they may not score tonnes against United, Milan, Juve, Arsenal, etc. But look at the last games of the season for United and Inter, both must-win games against smaller teams - who scored the goals to win their sides the league? Ronaldo and Zlatan.

F me han, Zlatan was injuried since the beginning of the season. He admitted that some weeks ago that's why he simply had to stop. And still had a good season.

Cristiano missed the penalty? Yes, but he scored against England in Euro 2004 and in the last World Cup. So what?

Kaka', CR, Messi or Zlatan.. who's the best? who knows?

We've had a fit kaka' the last 6 or so games and had he finished better, his stats would be super.

CR scored 41 goals, thats phenomenal.

You can say whatever as well for messi and zlatan.

There all important cogs to there respective teams. Sometimes they play below par, sometimes they just dominate a game. Doing it against big teams, small teams, you need to do it against all opposition.

They all play different sorts of positions to compare them. You can't purely base it on goals to games. Kaka' and messi are both players who bring others into the game by playing off them with simple triangles. CR and Zlatan main offence is there own technical ability (which at times is selfish) and are very effective. That'd be a very narrow analysis.

Personally for me right now kaka' in the last month has been as good as anyone and thats because he is fit again. But the other three are also world class, no point cutting them down.

You also have to look at how the majority of those goals were scored, he usually gets doubles or even hat tricks in the league against the easy teams that in the EPL usually don't even have a defence

Kaka had a bad season this one because he was being made to play even with a knee injury just because we have no one in the team who could even come close to how influential he is to us. Ronaldo plays in a league were the only good defences are only in the big 4 (Chelsea, Man.U, Arsenal and Liverpool) The others don't even know what the meaning of good defending is.

Ibra, had a great year last season, this season he's been mostly good (injury set him back a little though)

Yes Zlatan had an injury, but look at the player he has around him and the ones Kaka has around him. Kaka has to carry the entire team on his own while playing thrugh injury, Ibra atleast had a team that was on form playing around him while he had to play through the injury

Kaka was having a bad game today, and with the chances he missed you just knew he was going to miss that penalty, sometimes you just can't put that goal in the net, it had nothing to do with pressure since we were already winning.

Oh please the only time I see a Portugese player miss a penalty against England is when I start walking on water rolleyes.gif

I've got Ricky for 23 goals and 10 assists for 07/08 plus whatever he got tonight..

Not sure how accurate it is, sometimes they don't get counted. Prems the easiest to keep count from fantasy prem. biggrin.gif

Last seasons ones I can see games where he got an assist but not credited with one.

How many assists he get tonight 1? 2? Inzaghi Yes, Cafu, Not sure

Galliani's UEFA regrets
Sunday 18 May, 2008

Milan are out of the Champions League, but Adriano Galliani insists it is a good opportunity to focus on the Scudetto next season.

“It’s a great shame to be out of the Champions League and this year ends on a sour note,” said the general manager.

They managed to beat Udinese 4-1, but Fiorentina’s 1-0 victory away to Torino secured fourth place for the Viola.

“Up until 15 minutes from the end we were leading, but this is one of the reasons why football is such a special sport.

“It is nonetheless a year that saw us crowned Club World champions and became the club with more silverware than any other in history.”

Many blame the trip to Japan in December for that competition for the wavering form and fitness of the squad.

“Over the season we had two very different gears with many problems up until Christmas and top form towards the end of the campaign,” continued Galliani.

Milan must go into the UEFA Cup now and that could have a major effect on their transfer strategy, although Mathieu Flamini has already signed from Arsenal.

“We are disappointed to be in the UEFA Cup, but nothing will happen. The strength of the club is intact and it just means next term we’ll dedicate ourselves to the Scudetto.

Likely to be wrong, he'd probably nearly have 8 assists since he's been back. Assist stats are very dodgey for other leagues, the prem one seems to be well kept.
