It seems he's busy when we lose then!

Perhaps if he wasn't so busy we might be fighting for first place?

Edit: I am busy on weekends as that is the only time I can spend with my family, luckily they understand that I want to watch or keep up with events concerning Milan.

We Can Still Hope - Ancelotti

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti urged his team to look forward to the game against Udinese and forget about today's 3-1 defeat to Napoli.
Milan were dealt a hard blow to their chances of qualification to the Champions League today. In the away game against Napoli, they were outplayed by a very motivated side who proved to be stronger on the day and lost 3-1. Coach Carlo Ancelotti commented on this costly defeat.

"It was a bad day, in which Napoli played a great game and we didn't," he said. "We suffered because they were very determined from the start, then it was more balanced but the counterattack goal we conceded ruined everything.

"Now we must accept what has happened today, we cannot do otherwise, we must only think about beating Udinese, doing our duty until the end, and hope in a positive result from Torino. Nothing went well today, we were never in control of this game, let's just hope we are still in time to reach our objective, the Champions League.

"I think it's still possible, even though we are behind right now. There are 90 minutes left, let's beat Udinese and then see what happens.

"I hope Torino play their game, as all other teams did today, in which there were some unusual results."

how can he say to forget the game against napoli.

if it was a game previous in the league i would understand, but it was a great chance to stay 4th and don't have so much pressure on winning the one against udine...

what will he say if we loose next week: forget this season ,the next one will be better and we'll win the scudetto or what...

Hi,..I'm back from my Germany-France tour,...just in time to see nothing has changed. We're still on collision course and still have a chance to win the 4th spot.

Things really did not change, therefore, I must disagree in my very first post back here with Kurt. As usual..

No, it was not in vain, that Inter win. Why? Think as a rossoneri:

A. We ended that bad 3-lost-derby streak
B. We complicated things for Inter. Today they've played 2-2 with Siena and Roma is on the verge of a sensation.
C. It gave the fans at least a bit of satisfaction in this poor season

I also cannot imagine a CL season without Milan. It's just not right. And for the 128646575859 time, the Bayern effect cannot work with Milan, because:

a) Bayern could promise winning the title next season. The opposing teams (Werder, Stuttgart, HSV) in Germany cannot be compared to those in Italy. What Milan could promise to the newcomers next season is only CL football, but not the scudetto.

cool.gif Bayern had Klose and Toni sealed months before the season even ended. Their management acted promtly and realized soon the situation the club was in. That's a big NO in our case...

Why? Cause the competition in the Serie A is way harder then in the Bundesliga. Cause Milan was last in the scudetto title race 2 years ago.

When Ribery and Toni came to Bayern they didn't doubt much about who will be the league winner. And from day one till now, FCB stayed top. Milan cannot promise a title like that, because of the two things I've mentioned.

Exactly, we were in it 2 years ago and why aren't we now? Calciopoli is NOT an excuse. Juve were hit much harder, yet they've found their feet just fine. It's called ambition, or lack of in our case.

i sort of agree, but juve also only had the league to look at. we had the cl, world cup, and league for the majority of the season. it's kind of hard to say that juve would be able to compete in all of those with their current team.

i think if juve had lost del piero or trezeguet like we lost sheva they wouldn't be as good as they were this year.
acid911
Very true. Del Piero is the joint highest scorer (with Borriello) this season with 19 goals. Ditto for Trezeguet who's also at 19. Takes these 38 goals out of the equation and Juve would have been lost. wink.gif

If that had happened, Juve would have gotten a replacement for that loss. It will be 2 years since Sheva left in the summer and we still have not even tried to find a replacement...

And before you name them:
Ronaldo? He has played what? 10 games for us... Oh! great replacement! And the whole world knew he is injury-prone. He also came 6 months late but let's say we took our time.
Pato? Yeah right... the young Brazilian has the potential to reach Sheva's level but he's far away from that level now. Pretty far away.
Oliveira? Hah!
han2503
Well after the Inter game from the comments Galliani made it looked like we were heading back to the times when he said we're fine as we are, we made a big signing with Flamini and we won't purchase anyone else.

Hopefully playing UEFA cup for one season will be enough to finally open his eyes. And maybe if we're lucky he'll finally realize that Carlo Ancelotti's reign as coach has come to an end and that we should finally make a clean break this summer

It seems to me that when we win you are there posting how great management are, how proud you are to support Milan and bash anyone who dares criticize the management. When we lose you always seem to be busy huh.gif

You also said something interesting in a previous post that following Milan on the pc is not stimulating enough for you, yet nearly everyone else was here and we couldn't watch the game neither!
whoarethepatriots
I finally saw the highlights, and the results were grim. It was an abysmal performance, with kaka's and Pato's misses criminal and Nesta will an extremely clumsy performance. 3-1 was flattering considering they hit the bar/post quite a few times

We need to shape up, leave this in the past and focus on the task in hand. (and wish for a miracle in Torino)

juve lost most of their starting 11 after the calciopoli, so i would say thats much worse than just losing one player (sheva) especially when you consider the fact that they lost their "kaka", namely ibra.

They did manage to keep several key players (Gigi, Nedved, Trez, Camo and Del Boy) who were effectively the spine of team (Cannavaro aside)

I think losing practically their whole defense, Emerson, Vieira and Ibra AND being relegated is a million times worse than losing Sheva. And I'm a huge Sheva fan, there's just no comparison as to who was hit harder.
