Personally speaking, I think Kaka is only saying things like this because he cares. I would be more unhappy if he came out with "we are fine as we are" like Galliani. Hopefully this is the kick up the backside the management need to actually go out and strengthen this summer and give us a better looking future.

And BTW I don't think Kaka was referring to San Paolo in particular, just the majority of over 30 yo's we have who don't play reguarly, and he is absolutely right smile.gif

I also think he should be our future captain.

Look, if Maldini wants to play another year then for the sake of honour let him do so!
You Milan fans don't see how lucky you are to still have a guy like Maldini in your team, as an Arsenal fan I would have been KILLING for another Adams character in our team.
Milan's problem isn't Maldini, it's your attack.
Ronaldo and Inzaghi plays like what? 5 matches this year and Inzaghi's gonna retire soon. Pato is an interesting prospect, alright, but he can't be an attack on his own you know, and Gilardino totally lacks consitency.
Your midfield, when in-form are perhaps the best there is, but you need more options there, and Kaka needs to stop acting like he's so god-damn special.
He's been on high air recently, remember the Arsenal game where each time he was tackled he just raised his arms in complaint while the game went on?
Bring in another CB, but let him act as cover for Maldini next year, learning from him while Milan sort out who the next captain is going to be, 'cos Ambrosini as captain of AC Milan isn't going to work.

LOL i dont know if you forgot but he is the world player of the year he is not acting special he has a ligetimate concerns. When arsenal players are grabbing him all over taking him out ofcourse hes gonna complain. Fabregas had one guy on him, kaka had 3. Ignoring the fact that arsenal play defence only by taking out players and not by actual defending, kaka did pretty good. He gave pato an open net which he missed by passing 4 players if you forgot in the second leg. Its not his fault that the rest of th mid don't do s*** but yes kaka is that special. On his day no one is better in the world, not even that disgraceful Portuguese diver.

I am fully aware that Kaka is the current top footballer in the world, but still...Kaka looks sour, moody, tired. I think it may be the "after" effect of winning a lot of personal honours, you know you are the best, so when things don't go your way you react sourly.
And don't you dare explaining Arsenal's victory by branding Arsenal's defence as dirty and cynical, we fully deserved to beat you and you know it.
You won the CL last year, and I was very happy you did, but you should be mature enough to admit it when you lose to a better team instead of making up laughable excuses.

guy i'm not angry/jealous its just how arsenal defended was pitiful. Sure milan had no attack but arsenal could not even handle a school kid properly. They only managed to handle kaka because no one was supporting him and arsenal could easily marked him with 3 players. Your telling me to be mature but yet your saying that kaka is sour and moody? How would you feel playing in a team thats filled with shitty unmotivated players who don't give a f*** about anything and are just here to leech on the club for a few years more money to add to their pension.

Arsenal's victory was deserved yes but they had problems beating a defence that was on the brink of injury. Adebayor couldn't finish when it mattered.

against liverpool arsenal will be in big trouble because dont' think that your team's slide tackling antics and man marking is gonna work on them. They unfortunatly have some depth and milan doesn't so we can't rest our players.

You should be hoping that fabregas can do another fluke 35 meter shot cause i just dont see arsenal in the semis

Guys guys guys, this is only going to go one way.

Locke: This is a Milan forum, the views are going to be a bit bias from time to time wink.gif

Bluesummers: Chill out a bit. You're entitled to your opinion, but I think we both know Arsenal were the better team over the two legs. I'd think it would be much more constructive to discuss what we can change in the summer so we can come back next season and set the record straight.

Are you calling Pato a schoolboy? He's one of the most talented youngsters in the world, hell, Fabregas was 17 or something when he scored against Juventus in the 06 quarters. Is Maldini unmotivated? What about Nesta? Are Pirlo or Gattuso at retirement age? Is Pato unmotivated? Look, they are in a bad period, that happens to every team.
If you didn't know, our best defender was injured as well, and I do remember Adebayor scoring, so he can't be THAT useless.
Liverpool...damn, we drew a game against them at Anfield where we hit the woodwork THREE times. I don't fear Liverpool. I respect them, but I don't fear them.

Fluke shot...damn are you petty!

Fluke shot... but obviously a deserved win

I don't want anyone to think I'm siding with a Gooner here, but I don't think it was a fluke shot. People take shots to score goals - if they shoot and it goes in, how is that lucky? It's obviously what they wanted to do.

Lucky is a Lampard deflected special, a cross that finds the top corner, a rebound off someone's @ss. Fabregas tried to score, and did. We just didn't close him down quick enough and Kalac dived late.

biggrin.gif There's no point in deluding ourselves - that's exactly what most of you are accusing Galliani & Co of doing.

I still think that a few of the players that seem to have been written off by people here have a good few years left in them yet. We just lack quality depth and competition for places that I guess has contributed to our lack of motivation/quality this season.

Let's hope Silvio opens his cheque book in the summer.

QUOTE (Tennie @ Mar 14 2008, 05:51 PM)
I think there's either mistranslation or deliberate skewing of words going on here.

Here's a quote from the italian version of the article:

"Si devono prendere i giocatori per assorbire la mentalità vincente di chi è qui da tempo e farli crescere nella stessa maniera".

Roughly translated, it's something like 'they need to bring in players now to absorb the mentality of those who have been here a long time so they can grow in the same way'.

Unless I'm totally screwing up the Italian, Kaka does NOT say or hint that Maldini should retire (though he does say that careers draw to a close, even his). What he DOES say is that Milan should bring kids in NOW to take advantage of the knowledge and experience of the veterans while the veterans are still around.  96.gif
*

I think that must have been what he said... You all need to relax! Could he have said such things about Maldini and Cafu?? He would already be out of the team if that was true... they would kick him out and he would also go without a word ashamed of what he said. But he did NOT! What Kaka says is we need to FOCUS ON young players who will learn alongside the veterans and will come ahead of them in the pecking order.

Should he have said that? I think it should stay inside the club but still he's not doing this to hurt the club, he's doing it to put some healthy pressure on the board!

Of course Cafu should stay as long as he wants to. The problem is not Cafu staying - that can only be good - the problem is not buying another young quality player because of him!

good luck against the reds. I'm cheering for them though, and i hope they crush arsenal.

well mike with all due respect, i will not let an arsenal fan say our best player is bsing about issues of our own club. He is saying well just because kaka think some people should retire doesn't mean he has to come out and say it. I think he does. If no one says anything nothing will get done. Furthermore, its not like he is a milan fan either so he can't really understand how we feel.

I think you're being unfair. I agree with Locke, Kaka should speak his mind to the board only. He decided to openly speak his mind though and I think he did it because he cares about the club and his personal success... if you think this makes me less of a Milan fan well...

Locke is right.

We agree that Kaka' should say things, but to the media? Why would it be so hard for him to just go and talk to the management in person, rather than through the papers?

Fabregas' goal wasn't a fluke, he's done it plenty of times for Arsenal in the EPL. And like Mike said, the reason ho shot was to try and score. Why else would he kick the ball like that in that direction?

Because this way he is letting other big teams(Real) know that he is not totally happy and if things go from bad to worst, he might very well consider a move.

Just cause he has a contract signed doesn't mean he is staying 100%.

Perhaps Ricky feels that talking to the management is like banging his head against a brick wall? And the only way to make them listen is to go public!

I totally agree with Ricky in what he says, and just hope that the management actually do something this time.

it's funny cuz according to some the reason were in such sh1t right now is not the fault of carlo, galliani, silvio, most of the players and we need to make some changes to squad, but i remember clearly these same ones happy with the team we had and apparently we had enough to challenge for the scudetto and CL (actually calling us favorites).
