QUOTE (kdman @ Dec 14 2007, 09:56 AM)
Well, we all have our opinions in this matter. wink.gif  For all of this, it might end up as one of those rumours and he might not come. Only Galliani and Berlu can be certain regarding this. But don't be too sure about not bothering to watch Milan if he takes over biggrin.gif  If one can stomach Ancelotti, why not Jose. Carlo can be/is as defensive and boring as any. I always maintain the "Mourinho is defensive" excuse is taken way too far, it's beginning to sound like a broken record.

Galliani gave an interview to Mediaset (Silvio's network wink.gif ) today, prior to the final of the CWC.

He reflected on several topics:

That Milan will play a 4-3-3 formation .. With Kaka' and Seedorf right on Pippo's shoulders. He also commented on Ambro, and how he had been decisive for Milan .. That in 2007, had Galliani been able to do so, he'd have given Massimo Ambrosini an Oscar for his efforts and consistency for Milan and how he was a driving factor in the CL triumph.

Galliani confirmed today that Mourinho wont coach AC Milan. He said that Milan didn't offer Mourinho the job, but it was Mourinho who made it known to the Rossoneri that he was available. But Galliani concurs, that if Milan was going to bring in a new coach, it would definitely be someone from the Rossoneri's past. Galliani also repeats that Carlo Ancelotti has the clubs faith, as his current stats speak loud and clear for all the Milan faithfuls to see.

About Ronaldo .. He said that Ronnie was sad not to be taking part with the team in this second final. And that Ronaldo will be fresh and ready in January, and his contract extension would depend on how he'd do in the second part of the season.

So if there's a new coach, all we need to do is pull out a picture of the 1990 team, close our eyes, and point?smile.gif (Not entirely a joke; aside from Paolo who's said he doesn't want to coach, the only other one I know to NOT be coaching in some way or another is the keeper, Giovanni Galli, who is a scout for Fiorentina).

I would give Franco a chance. He has been coaching Milan young teams for a while and he definitely deserve an opportunity to show whether he can be a legend in coaching as well.
Jack Sparrow
Bringing Franco would also help out, since it would open the doors for our youth team, since he knows them so well.
Darunia
Seedorf is not a striker =/

4-3-3 funny.

[President Berlusconi settled the discussion about Carlo Ancelotti: "With our coach we have never had problems, he's never been in discussion because Carlo Ancelotti is one of us."]

That should put an end to the Mourinho saga.

Mourinho Set For Milan Despite Barça Enquiry

José Mourinho's future is the subject of fierce debate in Spain as the Catalan papers have him lined up for AC Milan, while in Madrid they claim he could replace Frank Rijkaard at Camp Nou.

The Portuguese coach has stated his intention to take over at one of Europe's top clubs and Italy has looked set to be his preferred destination until now.

AS believe that Barça president Joan Laporta has enquired about his future during a meeting with the former Chelsea boss' agent, Jorge Mendes.

While Laporta met Mendes to discuss Deco, Mourinho's name was said to have cropped up and the pair talked about what his plans were and his availability.

Rijkaard is under pressure to restore Barcelona's fortunes and while the gap between them and Real Madrid remains seven points, speculation over his position will continue.

Even AS do concede that Mourinho could well replace Carlo Ancelotti at AC Milan and suggest that the trainer has even signed a pre-contract with the Rossoneri.

With the thought of Mourinho taking over at Barça causing angst among the Blaugrana dailies, Sport are keen to state that he is definitely heading for the San Siro.

Despite Bayern Munich's supposed interest, Milan are working hard behind-the-scenes to secure the services of the coach that they believe will revitalise the club.

Silbio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani are concerned by Inter's dominance of the league and believe that Mourinho, along with a host of new players, will be able to deliver them the title.

Sport add that is an open secret that a deal is set to be done to ward off interest from any other suitors and ensure that Mourinho becomes the new Milan coach.

I'd prefer Mancini !!

Heck no...Mourinho over Mancini anyday. But if Carletto leaves, I can't think of anyone else other than Lippi who could take over and steer us without any loss of momentum.
