Are you kidding me ????? he did NOTHING !!!!!! couldnt even keep the ball at his feet , wasted several good chances and that wasnt a penalty . The keeper clearly got the ball.

Worst player out there today.

I have doubts about him. I dont care if he keeps the keeper busy , a striker should score , period . The whole teams busting their butts off to provide him chances and he cant even control a ball . rolleyes.gif damn it , i almost threw my coke at the big screen today !!

Ambro has seniority, though in the preseason it seems that he and Rino were taking turns wearing the armband.

The order is:

God
Ambro
Rino
Then if it goes down this far, it's usually either Pirlo or Kaladze.

Well his job is to hit the ball into the back of the net... and he doesn't do it! But it's not like he does nothing... Pippo on the other hand does nothing but he hits the bloody thing past the keeper! If they combined they would form a Super Saiyan but till that day comes Pippo will be the man and Gila the man that tries... he does a lot of hard work that's why he got a 7.5 for today's performance.

Gilardino is not Milan first eleven quality. That is for sure. He is too inexperienced, too green. That explains his failure on the European front. He is an absolute diver, he has no physical presence and he has a lot of trouble making something out of the chances that come his way. He will be leaving Milan next season. I have no doubt about that.

Carlo let him play cause Inzaghi's gonna play against Sevilla.

Maybe he trusted him untill now. BUt I think it's all gone now.

Esspecially when Ronaldo and eventually pato will play.

Here are Datasport's ratings. They named Nesta Man of the Match.

MILAN
Favalli s.v. - Pochi scampoli per Jankulovski
Nesta 7.5 - Il migliore in campo.
Sicurezza

Carlo Ancelotti: “I did not expect a win like this. I was afraid that the team had not yet found the right competitive approach, but they had a great attitude today. Ronaldo and Emerson will play in the European Super Cup. As for the fans, we tried to calm the situation and the decision to ban visiting supporters was good common sense.”

great win, great day!

i think our biggest weakness, last year, was not preparing well enough for the easy wins..glad to see that wasn't the case today!

I may be shortsighted, I may be not. only 'time' will tell not 'you' (if you're not God Almighty or something, of course). what makes you certain that we will be brought down by injuries this season? Inter's depth?!... Inter had depth today and they couldn't beat Udinese at San Siro. Milan, according to what you say, don't have any depth at all, and yet they manage to beat Genoa away from home 0-3. the results are what mean most to me.

I won't take it any further and prefer to wait and see what the results will be. by the way if I knew what a disrespectful person you are, I would have never included your name in my post...

He got the Penalty and was unlucky that one of his shots was blocked off, Inzaghi wouldnt have done much either, as Gila was isolated and didnt get a lot of service, He needs a second striker to support him ala Ronaldo and maybe eventually Pato

Galliani: Forget The Heat, We Played Well

Adriano Galliani, AC Milan vice-president, shrugged off the idea of a day too hot for football, instead reflecting on other, more pertinent issues for the rossoneri...

Like so many others, Adriano Galliani today questioned the widsom of a 3pm kickoff in the height of an Italian summer... in his own inimitable style, of course. even after AC Milan romped to a 3-0 win in Genoa

With more than a slight not to Roberto Mancini, the Inter Milan coach, the rossoneri vice-president said, "I agree when many of my presidential colleagues dispute the need for a kickoff at 15:00."

"Perhaps they should remember the 63 million euro TV highlight deal that necessitated this timetable," he added.

Instead, despite AC Milan's 3-0 win in Genoa, he had his own gripe: players not retreating ten yards during a set piece, or for otherwise getting too close to the action (or referee.) And for this, he offered a Brazilian solution.

He said, "I want to bring up another problem: the distance of the 'barrier' from a set piece or stopped play

"Today, [Clarence] Seedorf received a booking for protests, but I believe the solution is a simple one.

"In Brazil, the referee can spray a line on the pitch which cannot be passed. It seems an intelligent and easy solution to me."

Galliani did reflect on the game, though, musing, "It was very satisfying, a spirit of a good start helped us. We played well everywhere.

"Gilardino was excellent, but I must make compliments above all to Oddo, who played beautifully."

The vice-president went on to praise his hosts at Genoa, adding that he looked forward to seeing the Milan tifosi return to the city next year after Genoa's inevitable survival in Serie A.

Milanese fan were unable to attend today due to a security ban.

great start to the season and like has been said in previous post these were the games we struggled in for the last couple of seasons so this win may point to a turning point in our mentality and also a proper pre-season always helps!

It's true...he's not experienced enough. But the problem is that he's already 25. Other attackers younger than him are already more cold blooded than he is...
Anyway...great to see our team back in form when they need to be. 3-0 vs. Genoa is a pretty good start but playing Fiorentina next week will be something else.
