This, of course, is not meant to be a description of the game but of, the new kid on the block Grimi's BEAUTIFUL BACKHEEL!!! (well the truth is... it was just a normal backheel but...) How long?? How f@cking long has it been since we last saw something out of the ordinary at San Siro!!? I'm a cry now...

Considering Milan's disgusting apathy this season that lad's move was heaven on f@cking earth... Grimi oh Grimi... I already like you!!! No no I LOVE you!! And in fact I got more reason than that to do so... the kid did everything perfect, he was quick to go up, quicker to return and he's a steady defender!! I know this was against Arezzo but so what? I mean... the kid did his job perfectly well and that could only mean he can match more powerful opponents... Oh and now I know why Racing fans were laughing at Milan for purchasing the Argentinian... isn't it quite obvious?? Well for those of you who still don't get it you should know that a typical Argentinian defender is nowhere near as clean as Grimi is. The kid defended very good, played for 20 minutes and only did 1 single tackle... and guess what, it was on the ball!! That is totally unacceptable for an Argentinian defender that respects himself, I'm being serious!!

The game itself was fairly good... plus Gila scored again!! But after praising Grimi here comes the Gourcuff clamour!! Pirlo was mediocre (by the way... he's been like that all season long, I believe he was Milan's worst in the first half of the season) but I guess he has an excuse; it was a Nerazzurri Cup fixture, who cares?? But for young Yoann this is not an excuse?? He wasn't actually bad but if this is all he can do we know that's not true) then he's just not good enough... Unlike Pirlo or Gattuso, Gourcuff is not a starting XI player yet (he's even lucky he's played as much as he has) and he should IMO try a lot more in this type of games!!


Anyway... it was a good "official start" of the season. FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uh, I think Pirlo and Gourcuff had a fairly good match. Seedorf was just spectacular IMO, easily MOM. The defense was solid and we didn't allow Arezzo pretty much nothing. Gila and Pippo are on fire, but this doesn't mean Carlo has to put them together against Reggina ( ). As for Oliveira, the guy's got the skills, he's very fast and is gaining his form back. A couple of weeks ago I said the only thing he should improve is team work. Tonight I say the only thing he has to improve is the aim. Same for the rest of the team. This is what put us out of the Champions League last season. We waste too many opportunities. This is something the whole team should work on, a lot.

dst, told you that you would like Grimi I think he’s an impressive kid. Ok it wasn’t the toughest opposition to be playing against but considering that this is his debut and he hasn’t even been training with the entire team for a whole week I think he did extremely well. He’s still very young, and if what he showed yesterday was an indication of what will come from him I think we have a great player on our hands.

The players that impressed me the most where Seedorf who was simply amazing last night, 2 masterclass assists, let’s hope he keeps it up and not slip through again like he did in the beginning of the season.

Pippo was simply on fire, running tirelessly, shooting, should have gotten another goal I think.

Gourcuff and Rino where also having a great game, Gourcuff is a player that is very consistant, he has brilliant performances or good performances like last night. He’s not like Seedorf who decides that today he’s going to finish a team off by himself and the next day he does nothing but walk around with a cigar in his mouth.

Pirlo showed flashes of brilliance here and there but still he is still far from what we know he can do.

Oli, I think he had a very good game, one of his best attributes when playing in Spain was his finishing, and from what we saw yesterday that wasn’t the case, it’s only a matter of confidence on his part. But he will get that back eventually over time. But he did everything we would expect him to do as a supporting forward, he was running into spaces through the middle to provide Gila or Pippo with the final pass, he was running out wide and cutting in or crossing in. he was unlucky with the header he had saved in the first few minutes of the game, if it wasn’t for a great reaction save by the keeper that would have surely gone in. But all it proved more is that Pippo and Gila need to be played next to him for us to play well.

Gila deserves a mention for his great goal, but he should have buried the chance he got after his goal, he went for the wrong option and just went for power instead of placement.

He had a good debut and seems one for the future, one of his passes went astray but thats fine becuase he just arrived and is 21

His anticipation is good, as is his decision making, his tackling seems decent but too early to tell, passes were fine, but no Pirlo style through balls, couldnt tell about his heading as i dont think he headed the ball but pace, team work and work rate all seem good as does his positioning, although it isnt franco baresi positioning, but he can improve

Overall good, but it will be interesting to see if he can handle the pressure of a big club and his development i hope will be quick but steady so he dosent peak too quickly

If you watch Chelsea TV for more then one our I think your eyes might get stuck at the back of your head because of the constant eye rolling that ensues.

According to them they have the best LB in the world, I recon these guys never even bothered to watch Zambrotta play in that position

they have the best CB in the world in Terry, don't get me wrong Terry is a good defender, but when Nesta and Canna are on form he wouldn't be good enough to clean their shoes let alone be compared to them.

They have the best keeper in the world in Cech, I reckon they never saw buffon play either.

And Drogba has suddenly become the best center forward in the world also

They went head to head in the world cup and Cech let in 2 goals, Buffon let in non, and this was even during a match where he smacked his head against the post in the middle of the game.

So even disorientated Buffon is better then him

but the match you chose is not telling. Materazzi's goal was from point-blank range and Pippo's was well... I might check that one again cause I think the defence was still in midfield... He's not no 2 goal keeper and Czech's attack wouldn't have even scored once even if they were still playing. Oh and he can block penalties too!!

Cashley Cole is not the best LB in the world currently...maybe not, but he's definitely the benchmark for young LBs right now.

If you look at it he's the only one open.

Coz otherwise you'll have to compare Grimi with Paolo (type mismatch, human vs God) or Grimi with Carlos (not the WC 2006 RC of course), which is a very subjective thing.

So what do you suggest we do? Hope he becomes the first GRIMI??
