The best time to get him was apart of the Scheva transaction.

Theres no indication that he will leave, especially since he's the first forward on that team.

I still think that Crespo should have been the one coming here in part of the Sheva transfer, him and Gallas.

Roman Abramosh!t wanted Sheva so bad, he would have given up whatever we wanted in exchange plus the money, I don't see why Galliani was stupid enough to not ask for those 2, considering we where losing one of our top players and the state of our defence.

hmmm....
I don't think that we would get money with Crespo and Gallas.
ButI agree, I really wanted Crespo.
Now he scored at the shitty Milan Derby for Inter Merda.

Thinking about it with a clear mind back then (early summer) not even the first Calciopoli verdicts had come out ... I don't think either of them would risk a move to Milan at that time !!

...but I heard that Crespo wanted to play in Milan instead of Inter

I think somebody in some thread said he shouldn't call Eto'o 'a black guy'.
He's sulking tongue.gif

Come off it..Portugal, we all know you have a thing for Naomi Campbell.

(funny how somebody can like Naomi over Claudia, but that's Portugal)tongue.gif

Yes, that too has a lot of say on what happened this summer .. Though, I still think Milan can compete (please don't think I'm over exaggerating), Sheva was out injured a LOT over the past two seasons and during the critical matchs we got the results.

Our only handicap would be the -8, but other than that .. Milan can still compete, IMO ..

Ofcourse it would be better to have reinforced the team as we are lacking in some departments, but overall, the team looks good enough ..

True we don't have quality subs unsure.gif ok no subs, but we have a very competitive first team .. smile.gif

Considering how much Abramovic wanted him, I'm sure he would have given us anything, money is no aboject to him and he would only be letting go of 2 players who already wanted out

Crespo stated he wanted to come to Milan during the summer so did Gallas, I don't really see what the big problem was other then the fact that Galliani is stupid

No actually, we don't really know who was responsible for our lack of summer activities. In the past this board team have never failed Milan with maintaining a competitive team.

If anyone, Berlusconi was the one who came out and interviend when we were linked to Sobis and Ronaldo .. He came out and said " .. All I want is Ronaldinho .. " and after that we saw Milan come back with Oliviera .. So placing the blame on Galliani wouldn't be too logical, IMO. I think this summer is a
one-off .. Lets face it we got f@cked with all the controversy etc etc .. Which, as dst said, might have influenced the outcome of our transfer activities ..

no money is no issue for abramovic, but we still have to be realistic.
roman would not pay 50 million for sheva, and not making money for crespo and gallas

I mean, that if we had taken them both, we wouldn't get 50 millions.

Yeah I agree either Drogba or Crespo and Gallas would have been great.

We all thought it was going to happen right. It seemed to be such an obvious transaction. Instead we got cash which we don't need.

For some reason I really think they thought that they were going to be able to buy Henry or Ronaldinho. Great strategy.

I don't know ..

What I know is Milan is a BIG organization, they have ppl who handle these situations ..

Whether it's Henry, Ronaldinho, or/and F.Torres .. The board have planned it out for whats in the benifit of this club ! Hey if Berlusconi wants Ronaldinho, then Ronaldinho it is .. We could fill up this forum with who we want, but the bottom line is they know who they want and WILL get who they want.

But saying 'they thought..' really brings down the credability of the board as a whole, the board who have been protoganists for the club not me, not us, and not any fan around the globe .. We don't suffer, we don't pay the bills, etc etc ..

Who would turn down Henry and Ronaldinho. Anybody who could acquire these players in the face of losing their best player and choose not to should be admitted to get his head examined.

Henry and Torres pretty much rejected the Milan option and stayed where they were. Ronaldinho was never an option to begin with it was just a Silvio dream, and will probably remain so.
