Hope you're right about Paolo...
m1ke
Kaladze can fill in for him at any time.
dst
and Bonera as well!!!
Diavolo
So we have 24 players.
Differences with last season:
DEFENCE:
Stam --> Bonera (same as Stam can play as CB or RB)
+Favalli
MIDFIELD:
Vogel --> Brocchi
Rui Costa --> Gourcuff
ATTACK:
Shevchenko --> Oliveira
Amoroso --> Borriello

Well by name we are defenetly weaker, but let's wait and see how this team will perform on the pitch.

As for defence:
Maldini CB (but can also play LB)
Nesta CB
Kaladze CB (but can also play LB)
Bonera CB (but can also play RB)
Costacurta CB (but can also play all the other positions)
Cafu RB
Å imič RB (but can also play as CB)
Serginho LB (but can also play as LM)
Jankulovski LB (but can also play as LM)
Favalli LB (but can also play as CB)

So by main positions we have 5 CB, 2 RB and 3 LB.

For the first half of the season this looks OK
Maybe in winter some reinforcements for defence
GULLIVER
Gilardino needs to play. He can score. And I hope Inzaghi will be his sub, not the opposite.

Definately Pippo should be kept as our 'secret CL' weapon. If pippo where to play all the serie A games then either he will get injured or by the end of the season he will be all tired out.

Besides the Serie A is Gila's natural environment. I'm sure he'll score a lot for us this season. Pippo should always be the imergency sub in the domestice league, but in the CL he should always be the starter, atleast until Gila starts to score on the competition

They don't think like we are. We needed them to buy new defenders last year , last winter , this year and we got nothing. + they don't like to buy players in winter + it will be hard to find a player in winter that can play in the CL
florenti1
But we can use them in Serie A matches
If Nesta ,Maldini or Kaladze will get injured there will be a problem
The only player that we have and can replace one of them is Bonera
Simic ,Favali - i dont think so

hmm...Han ur right about Pippo...I think I said it somewhere myself...all the difference between a bazooka and an ICBM between those two..form wise of course, never on skill...

@Mishale: I still hold out hope for winter...there are a bunch of guys like Barzagli, Oddo etc whom we can get...they r definitely seeing no CL action..

I also liked what we did about Foggia...good work out for the lad...

I'm inclined to think Yoann(We reeeally need a nick for this kid) is gonna wlk into Pirlo's place as sub rather than kaka...I just think that's what he's being groomed for...Clarence is better suited for Kaka's place anyway...

We need CDM's seriously...this is gonna be a worry unless...Mad Max is fighting fit...

Apperantly Mad Max has already encountered a problem today with the Azzurri during training, he picked up some sort of injury and it's bad from what I heard. Well here is the Vogel deal biting us in the @ss.

And I agree with you on the Gourcuff thing., When I've seen him play he seemed more suited when he was playing Pirlo's role then when playing Kaka's

I think until he works on his body strength he would be more useful to us as Pirlo's sub then as Kaka's because with all the tough man-marking that he will have to endure in Kaka's position he will need to build some upper body strength

well that's another issue; what I'm saying is that his movement on the field, his through balls and basically everything I saw from his time in Rennes and against Red Star is reminiscent of Kaka ... wink.gif

Gourcuff is an awesome find, great talent, poise and a wonderful touch on the ball. Gila should start for sure over Oliveira he's of a higher quality and if he works hard he can have a breakthrough season for Milan.

No we can't play Pippo with Gila, our only options for next season are

Pippo--Oliveira
Gila--Oliveira

I think Figo's experience is starting to kick in; did u see his goal against Juve ?

Even w/ a great midfield, Inter will stumble, at one point or another .. And that is when they see us flashing our high beems at them and passing them with consecutive wins devil.gif

It's bound to happen, it always does (Viera's form tends to dip after the first 10 games). Plus Inter has a tough group to deal w/ at the CL, so that midfield of theirs will break down soon.
