does anyone want Ze Roberto????
Italian newspapers strongly link Milan with him, other possible destinations being Real Madrid (...) and Olympiacos!!!!!!!!!!

My opinion is that he's a good player but there are equally good/better players out there who also are in their mid-twenties!!!!

Some things to discuss about...

1) Ze Roberto? Hmmm,...we have that in Serginho. He is although a great player, a crucial one in Brazils defense. I allways imagined he would move to Spain, but not Real, more Deportivo or Villiareal. But lets wait...

2) Have you seen the Holland-Argentina match? So, some comments I owe: Mascherano played real good. Like he had his 100th cap for Argentina and two Cups behind him. Well, let´s hope it stays thet way. Seems to me that I am naturally carefull by pointing out potential players, so I had to see 3 matches to be sure. Tevez played equally good, thus it wasn´t his day! Also, what did Van Basten done mad.gif!!?? He ruined the Dutch traditional "total" offensive football, and made his team look like a dull and untalented bunch of random players. The only player who wake some interest in me is Bouhlarouz (not sure I spelled him right) with his secure and strong appearence. Van Persie stays unpredictable, erratic and he was very aggresive against Argentina. Some other ref would have showed a card...Sneijder looked better in companionship with Van der Vaart but he still is a dissapointment so far, as the whole dutch midfield is very slow and indolent. Seems to me, Van Basten really doesn´t know what to do with his wings - Kuyt and Van Persie shifted and changed their sides thruout the match without any notable logic or tactic huh.gif . Only dutch players to notice so far: Robben, Van der Sar, Bouhlarouz+some players who stay at a certain "status quo"

3) Ivory Coast showed it once more! We have to get one of them - Zakora, Eboue, Drogba or Yaya Toure! They just have so much of that Milan needs. Imagine the Ivorians with a defense like Milans rolleyes.gif !?

4) Germany, in contrary to my expectations of Holland, proved many talents. Lahm, I think he is the one we need, but seems that Bayern, after loosing Ballack and especially Ze won´t let him. But maybe with the proper amount... biggrin.gif . Klose showed his class! A player that scores 5 goals in his first tournement, and then starst the second with 4 goals in 3 matches has to be rated highly. We should consider him too.
dst
I think you're harsh on MVB cause Argentina is (to me at least) clearly better than the Netherlands and outplayed them everywhere on that field...He always alters Van Persie's flank though during games sometimes a bit too often, something I don't get cause he's not ready to do it yet!!!
Sneijder and Van der Vaart are the major dissapointments so far from the Dutch's squad...

Did Yaya Toure play well against Serbia??I didn't feel like watching the game last night so I wouldn't know...

Yaya made a solid performance, but the Serbia match is one of the matches everything turns upside down - Serbia played with determined self destruction - red card for Nadj, Dudic plays handball in the penatly area once, no...twice...so two penalty kicks. My god, I felt sorry for them, the first time since many many years. What a tournement, a final display of the caotic Yugoslavia, and now it sinks to history huh.gif .

It seems to me that Holland is all in all a big disappointment. I waited one match, the second...but now! They were secure for the second round, played a match without pressure, still made such a bad and sterile display! Horrible, itś not the Holland I´ve used to watch rolleyes.gif . Football with minimum risk, only for the result...bah,... tongue.gif

And what about this day? Seems that Milan players made a pretty important day - Pirlo was good, Nest injuried, Pippo scored, Simic good but collected a stupid second yellow, and the king - Kalac, nearly helped Croatia to the next round!? And potential Milanisti - Srna, well, at last something - a beatiful free kick. The rest of Croatia was miserable sad.gif .
milan00047
Milan has for a long time not acquired an African talent.
Weah was (i think) the last African player.
Its always Arsenal Chelsea and french clubs have been acqiuring them.
I hope the trend changes now.

What happend to Diarra.

Maxi looks really good to me. He could be the right wing solution for us, that is I think one of the many priorities we have. Yes, nice movement, good pace and passing accuracy, and well, his finishing...mmm...we saw the Mexico game biggrin.gif .

At this point I would add some more interesting players:

Asamoah Gyan (Ghana)
Stephan Appiah (Ghana)
Khalid Boulahrouz (Holland)
Sulley Muntari (Ghana)
Luis Valencia (Equador)
Lucas Neill (Australia)
Phillip Degen (Switzerland)

And to say at last the major dissapointments of this tournement so far:

1) England: Lampard took 30 -35 shoots, still no goal. Becks, well, his FK saved them twice. Owen and Rooney not prepaired, and without a real good alternative (my god can you even look at Crouch?). Defens? Yeah, yeah Rio-Terry, oh, the best defens of the world...oh please, have they ever seen Cannavaro and Nesta play? Or Billy ond Paolo? Puh, I hope Portugal will beat them..to reach the semis would be a punishment for football mad.gif .

2) Holland: I´v said enough of them. No attack, katastrophic midfield and embaressing tactics. Marco Van Basten wasn´t ready for that job. With the right tactic and two or tree players (Huntelaar, Seedorf, Kalou and Maakay) he lelft Holland could reach the semis with ease unsure.gif.

3) France: No elan, no potential, no danger! Nothing of the former champions!

3) Eastern European teams: Croatia, the Czechs, Poland, Serbia,...all out. Only Ukraine. Just because of Tunisa and the Saudis. All teams showed oldfashioned football without any notable freshness (maybe not Croatia and the Czech Rep...it was rather unfortuned to see them out) sad.gif .

Still looking for improvements: Portugal and Brazil wink.gif

I like Valencia but Boulahrouz????I'd take Materazzi instead, I mean it......

Boulahrouz made some good tackles and played well against Argentina and Ivory Coast...I would give him a chance. At HSV he is also in a very important role

sad.gif Well i jsut like yo invite Riqueleme to try for a test in milan if he did very well he is a good player ow i wish he could be able to perform coz i beliave in him much. Also we a need a back up imn our defence also we someone like Oguchi Oyewu in U.S.A, just like Sergio Ramos in Spain let him come for trial if he does well pic him. Just like our MIddlefield also we a back up someone like Marcos Senna or Manich in portugal he also believe in him and as for our attack we need a sharp, strong and speedy player some like Obinna Nsofor the Chievo player to come for a trial iif he does well pic him up his a good player which i believe his going to perform most especially when we have player like Pirlo, Sedorf, Kaka, Gattuso, or if fortunate Riquelme to give him a pass assist him to get a goal for we are the best in all the assuries.. wink.gif cool.gif rolleyes.gif huh.gif king.gif

Maybe a mental test?? In my opinion he is a looser. He can´t do it! He is good, nothing speciall, I´v seen many many better players on this position, but he simply is not the winning type...Its partially because of him why Argentina was not prepared to win the WC huh.gif

And what about that Rusol of Ukraine? He is so much praised these days... unsure.gif

I agree that he's like........an Inter player but IMO he's not just good, he's excellent but that mentality he lacks deprives him of being among the legends!!!

I don't know about them Ukranians I don't think they'd be that good
I heard Man U. wants Kalinichenko and Milevski while Porto is after Rusol and Kalinichenko.Inter seems to be after Tymoschuk (I like him) but he's a non-EU player tongue.gif tongue.gif

i know that, but Lahm can fill the position as left back with maldini pairing with nesta in centre. and of course cafu on the right.

Milevski shocked me, when he took such a penalty against Swiss (he thinks he is totti?? ohmy.gif ).

If he got such nervs he can play everywhere!

From what I've seen so far I'd really love to have Joaquin and Mascerano in Milan.
The former is probably on his way to Madrid though...As for Teves, well it was fun talking about him but we all know he's Abramovic's player!!!
Torres?I truly hope he won't come!!!

Because that's your opinion maybe????

I don't trust him OK?I think it would be a risk and it's not worth taking it considering the amount of money we'll have to spend!!!!!

Hmmm,...I think you are right. There is something in Torres that bothers, in moments he appears to me so arrogant. I fear he is too young to take that kind off label, a superstar striker. Honestly, he scored against Tunisia and Ukraine...not the best defensive teams. But that doesn´t matter. The real thing is that I would be much happier with spending the money on defensive reinforcements and a cheaper striker talent. Think Torres is not worth that money Atletico asks for. No, I would not be happy with him... cool.gif

Miguel? Uhhh...too unreliable. I know this player very well, he has solid attacking skills but acts to often very risky and unpredictable in a negative way. Not Milan quality I fear!
LaPalma
Hey...how about this frenchman...I guess his name is...something like Zidane biggrin.gif
No, honestly, what about Franck Ribery, until now he was the biggest surprise until now in this WC, and he really impressed me. He's fast, he can dribble, he can score, he's young. So....what else do we want?
