GibranAraige: Jesus #Corona is very close to #Milan. His agent is tying up loose ends for his arrival in Italy.
Don't know how reliable this guy is but Di Marzio said it wouldn't happen earlier today as the gap between the club is too wide...
I don't know if this is going to be an either or case with Corona and Faivre. I'd personally prefer Faivre if it came down to a choice as he's more versatile and has more room to grow

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 28 2021, 11:18 PM) Man, I really don't want this Corona guy. Smells like another Castillejo... Well on the bright aide he is not built like a swimming noodle and he's played as a RWB for Porto. So he's strong, quick and will put in the work. But once again, not a player that can produce big numbers QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 28 2021, 11:24 PM) MilanNews - Faivre did not travel with the team for the match against Strasbourg. This seems to be linked to the transfer market, given that the player has been approached by Milan and has shown the will to leave. Crossing fingers And apparently Brest on has something like 17 available players on their roster. So this decision couldn't have been made lightly. We should try to offer them Krunic or Conti

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 29 2021, 10:35 AM) According to Bild, Bayern will sign Sabitzer for 16M. Now this is just infuriating. Couldn't we have spent 16M on this guy? I almost feel like our budget for this summer was set at 60M (which is what we've spent so far), and anything beyond that is a "huge sacrifice" by our ownership. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Meanwhile Roma, who have over 500M in financial debt, have spent nearly 100M thus far. Sabitzer wanted to stay in Germany though and if it came down to an option between Milan and Bayern it's pretty obvious what the choice would be... I'm more p!ssed off that West Ham (!!!) could sign Vlasic. Talk about a lost opportunity

QUOTE (X-Offender @ Aug 26 2021, 09:03 PM) I'll tell you what I expected.
A ) To address the weakest link in our starting line-up from last year, i.e. RW with a quality player. We can't continue playing with a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none like Alexis and a rubbish player like Castillejo.
B ) To replace anyone leaving with someone even better. I'll concede Donnarumma, but Calhanoglu?
C ) To sign another quality striker. Giroud was not the right profile.
D ) To strengthen the depth of the squad where necessary.
Insofar we've only managed point D. Okay, I'll concede A, even though I think Saelmakers offers the right characteristics to what Pioli wants in that position. Sure, I would love someone that is an attacker winger, but I'm not sure about the balance. Saelmakers also connects well with the team. B, we all know Donnarumma is irreplaceable... but Maignan is a very good goalkeeper. Hakan, please you are one of the people who kept saying he was ****. I rather watch Brahim there, and I think he has what it takes. He's very dynamic, ofcourse not perfect yet, but we'll see what he can provide. Let's also wait what happens in the coming days. C, I think Giroud is a very good replacement imo. I really like what I saw from him so far. D, yeah we added a lot of depth in lots of key positions Listen, I'm not saying that the position is ideal, but Maldini is doing well with the cards he's dealt. The transfers have been very reasonable, and we have a very young team who have 2 yrs of experience with each other under the same coach. I have the right to he optimistic here. And, han about Roma, come on how many times are we going to repeat this, these kind of moves are not feasible in today's football unless you're PSG or have oil money. We'll see how Roma copes with this massive spending.

We'll see how Roma copes with this massive spending. I'll take Brahim for Capanoglu but insofar we don't have a Brahim substitute now do we? You can't say you're happy with Giroud given his stats. Look at Inter. They have Lautaro, Correa, Dzeko and Sanchez. We have Zlatan, Giroud and Pellegri. Huge difference. Obviously we're talking in foresight here. Giroud might very well score 20 goals this season, but that's another discussion for another time.
