QUOTE Marchetti (Sky): "There is a non-technical economic limit to the renewal of Kessi?, which has led Milan to have a certain attitude towards Donnarumma, for example. Clearly it is possible that an agreement will not be reached, but Milan are confident of finding it because the talks with Kessi? has been going on for a long time and Milan has increased its offer over the past months, making the player feel involved in the project. The agent and Kessie himself want to make sure that they will earn as much as possible. The economic proposals that AC Milan have made so far have not been satisfactory. It is necessary to understand not how flexible Milan's offer is but how much the player's request is. Yesterday Maldini made it clear that Milan is not going beyond a certain limit for economic reasons. The club's position is important and consistent with the other choices made on the transfer market". It makes me wonder, at this point, won't other players (Bennacer and Theo, for example) also start demanding wages beyond what the club is willing to offer? Are we going to let them go on a free as well? This is getting a bit tedious. On one side I understand the club's financial reasoning, but on the other side is anyone considering that as the stakes increase, budgets also have to get loose? You cannot expect a bunch of youngsters who have proved themselves and who have considerable estimators abroad to accept 3-4M salaries when they can easily earn double that in some other club. I just hope Dollarumma and Capanoglu were not the first of a long list of players that we're going to lose because we don't want to offer them high salaries.

This is why any sort of wage cap is unsustainable if we want to be competitive.
Tottenham are apparently offering Kessie 8m that is unsustainable for us. Because it won't just be Kessie who will make those demands but the others as well
And I honestly cannot blame these guys for wanting to earn as much as other players at their level are earning in other leagues. Players have a very limited window where they can earn a big wage. They all want to make the most of it. Why should they make the sacrifice when players at mid-table EPL clubs are earning more than them?
The only eay out of this is if UEFA actually does something across the board re salaries as well as these agents who are extorting clubs these days. Commisions and agent fees should be banned.
Re all these links to rando players who are not good enough, as much as it kills me, I'd rather not sign anyone than waste money on these types of players who will not add yo the quality of the team, but just bloat it
Once Bakayoko is completed, all I want is a competent AM who can bring in quality and ensure a good return of goals/assists. Relying solely on Brahim is just insane.
I don't understand why we don't just go for James who is frozen out at Everton and is desperate to leave. Yet we're willing to waste 10m on a Serie B player or this Covid dude????

Kessie's agent isn't budging from the request of 7M net salary + 1.5M in incentives. The same would cost Milan circa 70M inclusive of taxes.
Milan won't pay anything above 6M, as was the contract Donnaruma last held with Milan.
At this juncture it is safe to say Kessie will leave on a free next summer.
P.S. I had stated this in my previous post, what we fans want is not what the club wants. The sooner we come to terms with that, the less of a heartache following Milan will be.
There is no way this club can afford such wages, the international appeal for Milan is not what it was before. Berlusconi said this before he sold (along the lines of..) 'Milan can not compete with oil money'. The sponsorships that City, PSG, Chelsea get are in a league of their own.
A live case on this prospective: Serie A was not able to sell TV rights to the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region, as the bidding was a mockery for them. So they broadcast free on YouTube for the Arab world. Meaning no income from this part of the world. While EPL, La Liga and now Leage 1 of France have awesome contracts with Bein the broadcaster of this region. Bein also has rights for CL, EL, WC and the main footballing tournaments. The fact that Serie A was not awarded to them (for the mockery of a bid they made) is due to the low demand for the league from this region; in contrast to the other leagues and competitions which they had renewed with.
I write this piece with a heavy heart and saddened that Elliott shall turn over the club in a healthy state, but not with the appeal and glamor it had when it was under Berlusconi.

So, Correa to Inter is a done deal for 30M. In my opinion not worth it, but what's telling is what I said in a earlier post. That this Inter side in severe financial distress, which we all ridiculed and who lost Conte, Hakimi and Lukaku, is still spending money to strengthen their weak areas.
Whereas we are after Covid Jesus and Messiah Jr. Man, the frustration...
You know, it's not even even the AM position that worries me. I think Brahim is a very talented player and this may be his season. It's the right wing, where we have to rely on guys like Alexis and Samu who are so, so mediocre and decrease the overall quality level of the team.

So you're telling me that Serie A will be broadcasted for free in the middle east? I thought it was kind of a one off thing for the first game of the season! Okay, that's good to know that while I'm in Lebanon I can easily watch the matches for free. I agree with you on the financial aspect. I think you should just concede the point that it is better to sell Kessie now than let the contract situation drag on. It's a win win for us in this scenario, we get money reinvest. Because when you have to start from 0 to find a player of Kessie's calibre...it is really difficult.

Yeah, but come on they were able to get like 200 million in transfers. We lost our two best players for free. That's the real problem right there. I'm not worried about Brahim either as well as Alexis. It's seeing Samu that makes me cringe.

Inter have an insane debt they have to repay in the short term, both towards other clubs and towards banks. They can't just get 200M and think they can spend it as they please. For example, Hakimi was sold purely to generate cash flow necessary to cover operations costs. From Lukaku's 120M sale, around 5% of the transfer fee goes to FIFA as part of the infamous solidarity contribution, around 6% will go to ManUtd due to a clause inserted in the contract, and then Inter will also have to pay to ManUtd the remaining ~55M of payables from Lukaku's purchase 2 years ago. Hence, Inter will only get about half of those money in cash that they can spend.

I can't see us giving another big asset away for free. No way we're that idiotic. Either he renews or we sell now or in January. I won't believe that our mnaagement or Elliot for that matter are stupid enough to lwt this happen again Also the number seemingly keeps getting bigger every week (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) The media probably have no idea what we're offering and what he's demanding but only trying to make sensational stories because they know Milan fans are losing their sh!t over this following the other 2 and they know they will get the clicks If Kessie is making too large a demand, I don't see him being a Milan player come September.

The issue with the Hakimi sale is that they probably only generated about 24m from it since they still had the entire fee left to pay to Real which was over 40m
