Yes, I agree. Which is why I said to x-off that I'd much rather be in our situation than Inter's even if they are champions. I think our management have done a phenomenal job to not only stabilise the club which was in freefall before they took over, but to also make strides to making the team competitive again in a fiscally responsible manner.

However, there were critical choices made not to renew certain contracts for small differences between offer and demand. Now they must show why their decision was the correct one by making the right moves. We are not hearing anything concrete now and we're slowly approaching mid-August. I think it would be a mistake to try to get players in at the last moment

Plus, we haven't moved enough to get players out. We need to make it clear to certain players and their agents that they need to find another club

The problem is that we needed to strengthen that RW, and instead we created an even bigger hole in the AM position. This is where our management has failed, thus far.

Yes, they've made great deals in Tomori, Maignan, Tonali, Giroud, Ballo-Toure, Brahim etc. But the question is, are we weaker or stronger than last season? As of right now, we're weaker. No doubt. Capanoglu might have been an inconsistent SOAB, but he was the starting AM, and you can't have his sub in Brahim be the starter for next season. And Alexis, as much as I like him, is nowhere good enough to be a starting RW.

We have two huge holes that need to be filled if we don't wanna end up 5th again.

Sky - Hauge will undertake the medical visits with Eintracht on Monday. The Norwegian will leave on loan with obligation to buy set at 12 million.

Completely off-topic, but I remembered this statement from Krunic when we signed him and it made me giggle.

Krunic: "I'm similar to De Bruyne"

I need a dose of that high self esteem

The bold part is what I repeated ad nauseum in June. Letting Hakan leave created a bigger hole than the one that we needed to fill. We'll see if it was a mistake in the end, but we need to get moving ASAP.

This should open money for a signing. Reportedly, we have an agreement with Illicic..but not with Atalanta yet. I think they want 8 million and we are willing to pay 4 million. Us being stingy makes me believe that we will go go for another attack midfielder..I hope.

Are you referring to the Tottenham-Lautaro rumours? IMO they're BS. No way Inter can afford another sale after Hakimi and Lukaku. It'd be a total catastrophe.

By the way, I'm very much enjoying this Inter crisis, not much as a Milan fan but more due to the fact that Capanoglu signed for them thinking he's made the move of his career yet he finds himself in a squad that's being completely torn apart. It would give me immense joy if we finished ahead of them in the league.

Looks like we might be getting Florenzi on loan for the RB position. As a short-term solution it'd be fine, though I would have preferred Dalot on a right-of-purchase as I think the guy has got potential.

Vlasic played yesterday the first game of the Russian league after missing all previous friendlies due to issues with the club. CSKA's coach said all problems have been dealt with, so I'm assuming he will continue to play there. Another missed target.

All my hopes reside on Ziyech at this point, but I don't think he's gonna come, and we'll just get Ilicic and call it a day. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Also, Caldara is officially on loan to Venezia with right-of-purchase, presumably at around 4M.

Apparently Milan has signed this 16 yo Paraguayan called Hugo Cuenca.

A Primavera player and understudy to be promoted.

Yep, I saw that. We really need to fill that AM area.

I signed Ziyech in FIFA 21! Come on Maldini! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Since I didn't have the updates, I managed to also replicate our signings. I sold Donnarumma for 89 million and bought Maignan for 40 million (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) . Cala was sold for 30 million.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

New name being thrown around (for a change): Yacine Adli

21 year old AM of Bordeaux.

I'll save you the trouble of looking him up on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHZpOyJwi3A

He looks OK.

At this point I really do think whoever we sign will come out of left field

Look at today with Florenzi. There wasn't even a peep about him and suddenly it's almost done

It's frustrating for us when we're constantly checking out phone to see if something new comes up but it's been the same recycled BS all summer.

Whoever we sign will probably be someone no one is really expecting.

Re Florenzi. It's a great deal imo, he can cover the entire right side and midfield as well. He's a really good utility player that has moments of real quality in him as well.

Did I or did I not say Maldini has a couple of names in the drawer (not reveled) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Florenzi is definitely a good addition. More to come I am almost convinced of this, simply the club still has positions to fill in order to compete both domestically and in CL.
