I believe that's already happened ("de facto" if not formally). Probably one of the reasons Raiola pushed Donna to not renew. This is one of the reason I was nervous, it had been obvious for some time that there was no love between Raiola and the new management.

Raiola couldn't have made him do this, Donna came to the decision on his own. Sure we need to completely cut ties with that fat f@cker, but this is on Donna first and foremost.

In theory yes, but also... These sort of situations can add a lot of unecessary pressure for someone like Plizzari to now be thrown in the mix.

True, I was thinking this when I wrote that. I wrote it out of frustration. It would be really unfair to expect greatness from Plizzari and put pressure on him before being given a chance.

Anyway, the lack of leadership in the squad also probably influenced Donnarumma's decision. If only the dressing was like what we had before.

I don't think this has anything to do with who his teammates are. Donna is just a snake, plain and simple. He allowed himself to be influenced by a fat money grabber

It's good that he showed this mentality soon than later cause he can go ahead and walk out of the door. What I really enjoy is the new management though. They are very transparent and efficient. It is really beautiful to see. Donna's absence might leave a mark, but I'm sure we will shake it off!

I am upset by the fact that he made what seems like a ridiculous choice but in the end, I only feel bad for him. He will end up with Real Madrid, just like Cassano. When players burn the club that brought them up more often than not they are the ones who lose out. Look at Cassano, Balotelli, etc.

With the way things are and the wealth of young Italian keepers out there, one season sitting on the bench for Milan could mean that he doesn't make the WC squad for Italy. So yes, while I thought that he would eventually become a Milan legend and a player that really would bleed for the shirt, in the end, no player is bigger than the team. Something he will realize very quickly under the bright lights of the Bernabeau. They booed Casillias a player who was with them for years and one of their most loyal players, a few poor performances from Donna will destroy his confidence.

I'm personally already over it. He's going this summer for sure, I can't see him staying on now that he's turned half of Milan against him.

So we'll get good cash for him, 50m at the least considering his contract is expiring (hopefully a bidding war can start between Real and PSG).

Good goal keepers are a dime a dozen, especially in Serie A, there are some who are currently better than Donna playing for mid-table sides in the league so they will be easy to get. There's Perin, Scuffet, Meret, Skorupski and we also have to look at our very own guys. Crosta and Plizzarri are both good keepers (could be too much pressure on Plizzarri though considering what just happened with the idiot

Great teams were never built around great keepers. During our most successful periods we never had huge star keepers. Dida was an okay keeper but we had a record breaking defensive line, it had nothing to do with him but the guys ahead of him

So honestly, I'm not worried. Let's put the money we'll get from him into buying a big star name (preferably for the midfield) and get on with it. Milan has lost stars before, and we moved on. Nothing will ever compare to when Sheva and Kaka left, this scrub doesn't even register in that scale of heart breaking Milan moments
