If this offer is really true, I think they'd accept as no club will offer them this much and if they keep him they risk his price falling if he doesn't have a good season (doubtful as Belotti is a machine)

The fact that we want to sign another forward does it mean that we want to play with two strikers? In that case, it'd be a 4-4-2 with Suso and Bona on the flanks, and Kessie and potentially Biglia in center midfield.

I think Montella will use 2 or 3 formations. This season he was restricted to the 4-3-3 but given the options he'll have next season I honeslty can't see him using it as our main formation

But with a 2 men midfield, I am not sure I would be confortable with Biglia - Kessie pair. We need someome better than Biglia. Unless we are getting Biglia for rotation purposes.

Rodriguez can play as a FB in a back 4, a WB in a 3-man defensive system or even as one of the CBs in said 3-man defensive system. He's a very versatile player.

Same goes for Conti, he can be used as a FB or WB, in fact he was used as a WB at Atalanta

The problem with a back 3 is that it's so resource heavy. We don't have enough CBs to pull this off, especially with Paletta and Zapata both likely leaving in the summer and just one replacement coming in. I think we'll only use a back 3 on rare occasions

Personalli I think that if we sign another striker like Belotti, we will br playing 4-4-2 providing we dont sell Lapadula who would be a backup with Cutrone OR wr would play 4-2-3-1 with Silva as a Trequartista, who can play even in midfield as he said. Actually this makes even more sense.

i'd love for use to go for a 4-2-3-1. But again, it depends on who we're going after next.

We worry too much. We're letting Lapadula go. Niang go. Deu is probably gone as well. We need strikers. If all we have is 3 strikers, it's too risky to play a 2 striker formation.

I think this season Montella has really requested (and is getting) players who can give him a lot of tactical flexibility. Last season, as was obvious we got really predictable in attack.

Ricardo Rodriguez for example, I'm told is someone who can play as LB, but also in a back three. Conti can play as a full right mid as well. Abate made his name in Torino playing RW.

If we want to we can also now pack our midfield through the centre to get numerical superiority, since Bonaventura can play through the middle as well.

I like it, but if you ask me what formation we're going to play with, my assumption would be a 4-3-3 turning into a 4-2-4 at times but it's still early days.

I read on twitter that next on the list will be Conti, two midfielders (Biglia most likely being one of them), another forward, a winger. Possibly another central defender and 3rd GK should Plizzari and Gabriel go on loan.

So we definately have more to look forward to, hopefull the other midfielder will be a standout. I don't care if the other striker is Kalanic, as long as we get a really great mid, I'm happy

So I am reading in a few different spots that Donnaruma will not renew the contract. I think if true, then he is much more foolish than I thought. A growing Milan would be a great opportunity to build a brand and his name, on the big stage where the lights are a little brighter there is less of a leash.

I am pretty sad by this news as he has amazing potential - it's unfortunate that he did not turn out to be loyal in the way that I thought he was. That being said, we have a few other promising keepers in Plizzari, and Crosta. If we don't go out and sign a new keeper I would be very surprised, but those guys still have our future at the position looking bright.

Moving away from this, what really worries me is the midfield. Kessie, Krychowiak, Biglia, Valero are all fine players but we need better, we need more. Not in quantity but in quality. Unless we don't sign someone like Modrić or (highly doubtful) Verratti, I think we'll struggle with or without Silva, Costa, etc.

I believe that's already happened ("de facto" if not formally). Probably one of the reasons Raiola pushed Donna to not renew. This is one of the reason I was nervous, it had been obvious for some time that there was no love between Raiola and the new management.

Yeah we still need another player in the midfield even if we get one of Biglia/Krychowiak. I want a deep creative midfielder but we really haven't been linked to any. Verratti is the dream but that seems like a super long shot.

In Serie A I can't think of anyone reasonable who could fill that role. I would like to see Pellegrini here but he is young and would be more of a future purchase. As far as an instant fix, does anyone have any players they like who would be more reasonable price wise?

Problem is that he's the agent for so many players. On our team alone, we have two of his clients (minus Donna) that I can recall off hand: Bonaventura & Abate, not sure who else. Zlatan that many of us would be open to returning, him as well.
