QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jan 28 2014, 02:38 AM) I'm wondering, who is Seedorf gonna play in attack against Atletico? Honda isn't available, Monto is suspended. I'll just assume Essien and De Jong in the double pivot, and then Robinho, Kaká and Balo behind Pazzini. But he could also play Urby in attack. EDIT: Or maybe Birsa. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) I'd say he'll use Pazzo. If anything, Seedorf must know how to use a prima punta. Hopefully, not Birsa. Even Emanuelson is better upfront - that is - more involved. Birsa is a really quirky choice. Armero? A year ago we would have been thrilled. What happened with the guy? Why is he out of favor now?

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) I'd rather see Urby on the left side of the attack with Kaka and Robinho centrally. only one of Pazzo or Balo should start. Lets face it, we'll most likely be stuck defending for most of the game, Urby has the pace to break on the counter, he'd work well there Birsa on the other hand is slow and clueless in terms of passing, he'd literally only be making us feel like we're a man down, I seriously hope Seedorf doesn't play him, especially in that particular game QUOTE (ganney @ Jan 28 2014, 09:09 AM) more like mattia perin, abbiati 2nd choice, agazzi 3rd choice... gabriel on loan for a year after which he'll come back to be 2nd choice when abbiati retires... I fail to see why we should keep Abbiati, he won't stay for cheap either

Amelia and Abbiati earn practically the same amount. I'd still pick Abbiati as second with a new, reduced contract if he's up to it.

Apparently we could make an offer for Cerci. 10m for a co-own deal + Sapo on loan If this is true, kill me now So they're potentially saying that this average player is worth a total of 20m plus Saponara on loan (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I'd rather wait for the summer and pay Iturbe's buy out clause if we really want a winger

I like Cerci.
I think he will be very useful. He is no Ronaldo, but he will be very useful. I wouldn't co-own Saponara for it though.

Meh, I think he's average at best and wouldn't be the type of player we need to make that step up, especially for the kind of money being mentioned. 10m for just half of his contract is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention Sapo going the other way on loan

10m for just half of his contract is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention Sapo going the other way on loan I've lost faith in one huge step up. And in any case we have to pay attention to wages too. Cerci is a proven, reliable Serie A performer and will come in for not much. 20 million is way too much. I'd pay Matri price for him plus maybe give them Zaccardo. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) For that kind of money we could deal with Verona and buy out Iturbe's contract from Porto (it's something like 15m) Cerci is just not worth it. I'd pay nothing more than 8m for him, but Torino value him highly as he's their biggest player.

Can we make a play at Ogbonna. He hardly seems to play in Juve no?

I don't think so (Ogbonna that is).
Cerci isn't half as bad, but I'm puzzled how we're still chewing old names and rumors. I would have expected Seedorf to reach further north, to Holland or Belgium, for some genuinely talented youngsters and not players like Cerci.
The only thing I conclude from this rumor is jet another marble in the big picture of Saponara being a miscalculation. I hope he proves me wrong, but more and more things suggest it.
