Apparantly we'll be missing Montolivo, so that's a huge blow as no one can replace him.

I'd go for this if he doesn't recover in time

De Sciglio--Zapata--Mexes--Constant
Boateng--DJ--Nocerino
Bojan--Robinho--SES

Not ideal but certainly better then playing Urby in central midfield or attack while Robinho could be the false no. 9 while Bojan sticks to cutting in from the wing

^^^

Scratch that as I just saw a post from x-off in regards to Prince being suspended for this one. totally forgot about his red last week.

In that case either we suffer Urby in midfield or switch him with Constant and play Constant in midfield. Anything other than Flamini pls!

Come on man, Urby in midfield is not THAT bad. It's like you're trying to avoid him at all cost.

I still think it's hard to say that. It in a extreme situation that he was tested as LB, not a normal/full match.

Urby is our best choice when Monto is injured, plain and simple. That doesn't mean it's a good choice, but that there aren't any better.

It's around this time that we start taking 2 steps back. But I hope we can pull through and hold on.

--De Sciglio---Mexes----Acerbi---Constant
-------Montolivo---DeJong---Noce----------
----Robinho-----Pazzini---------SES---------

If Montolivo is injured, we're probably going to put in Urby. And well..Acerbi looks to be almost definitely getting playing time. Could be an Italian thingie. Silvio and Galliani do feel very strongly about that.

I'm all for giving Italian defenders a chance, but Acerbi is a disgrace to the #13.

Urby is our best choice when Monto is injured, plain and simple. That doesn't mean it's a good choice, but that there aren't any better.

Ideally Boateng would be there. But he's suspended. And I completely disagree about Urby being the best choice when he's only done good for us when he's playing wide on the left. He was a LB in Holland, it's ridiculous that Allegri has played him everywhere else BUT at LB.

It's not like Constant is a LB or even a wide player, he's a versatile central mid which was moved to LB for the very simple reason that he's left footed. It wasn't some master stroke idea on Allegri's part and it's not like Constant has been really tested by top class opposition there, and don't even mention Juve. He was up against a terrible Isla and then Padoin FFS!

Urby at central midfield get lost and does nothing, 90% of the time I was barely even aware that he was on the pitch against Zenit, at least with Flamini you could tell he was on the pitch doing work and running around with Urby it was just zero

I think Flamini and De Jong could work as part of a double pivot. But we have no one who can play as a sole striker. I imagine Balotelli would work that role.

Why a double pivot when we play with 3 across midfield? Doesn't really make any sense tbh and Flamini can't pull that role off, he's not an anchor DM, mostly an erratic runner.

Balotelli right now should be forgotten imo. He would be wasted in Allegri's 4-3-3.

Should we change things around in the summer and bring in a really creative player and discard of this idiot coaching the team, then Balo would be a great signing, but right now it's just inviting even more trouble than we currently have

What's wrong with you? Acerbi? Flamini? These players should never be seen wearing our jersey for another game. They are the epitome of trash.

Wearing Nesta's #13 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

If we've truly turned the corner, we should be able to beat Torino. I know that the $h!tlegri groupies will no doubt excuse him for it because we will be missing Montolivo or this season's undisputed trequartista but it's TORINO ffs
