Removed? You mean Montolivo?

Robinho excellent? Apart from that assist, what did he exactly do to deserve praise?

Robinho's performances have been so terrible of recent, that I believe we were more surprised than anything else yesterday. He managed to show some great ball control at time, held up the ball and as you said, assisted a goal.

Despite all that, I still want the fool out!

Outstanding? All he did was win some balls, but usually also gave away the same. For the last 20 minutes he was just tackling allover the place, no clear perception of space or position. I don't think he was especially good at all - we were lucky Napoli didn't decide to make more frontal attacks.

NDJ was very good last night, given our team is still shaky, the lad has done well to take hold the reigns of the midfield. Obviously it is a downgrade to our Pirlo-Gattuso-Seedorf, but he did show spirit in that midfield.

4-3-3: Abbiati; De Sciglio, Mexes, Acerbi, Constant; De Jong, Montolivo, Nocerino; Boateng, El Shaarawy, Bojan.

Surely. 10 minutes and 1 assist can't make a difference.

Allegri always leaves me speechless as only he could find a way to ruin what could have been a very good formation

Have we EVER played the same CB pairing 2 games in a row? No wonder everyone is making the stupidest mistakes you've ever seen. No one trusts each other, they don't know if they can rely on the other guy, and this also tends to spread to Abbiati, who like Filippo said tends to have the odd howler or 2 during the course of the season but this season he's making a mistake in nearly every other game.

Also, what the point of playing Boateng there? Just does not make sense to play him as a winger. He should have either been started instead of Nocerino or not started at all.

Agreed. Boateng is absolutely useless in attack. In fact, he's been absolutely useless wherever he's played so far in this season. The sad thing is that Allegri's alternative to Boateng is Emanuelson, which is even worse. He never tries playing a true 4-3-3, with two attacking wingers (Bojan ad El Shaarawy) and a striker (Pato or Pazzini). He keeps playing Bojan as trequartista or center forward, which doesn't exactly allow him to express his full potential.

The thing with Boateng is that Allegri always plays him in attack

What he needs is a run of games in that midfield 3,

Look at the players who are performing well for us. El Shaa and Montolivo. Tehy've all gotten a good run of games, where they've been played in the same position, this allows them to adapt and thus play well. The rest of the players keep getting switched around, played in different positions and assigned different tasks.

How can anyone expect them to performat the levels we're used to seeing is beyond me

Because they're professional footballers?

Boateng has to have a position 5 yards further on the pitch than he would like, how does he manage to even pass a ball like this!? The poor guy.
