De jong has definately put a spring in the step of the midfield. His passing has gotten the other mids into it, Ambro was definately not doing that in the first half, which shows how much have a really strong DM option is pivotal in Allegri's sytem.

Bojan also has brought a lot of movement upfront which has made it easier for Pazzini

No, it was Pazzini who was pulling the Bologna player from the start. It should have been a foul for Bologna.

I disagree, he was trying to get around the Bologna player, he eventually did and got pulled back.

Actually it was De Jong who initially started the move with a very nice pass. De Sciglio made very good use of it though

Pazzini, true poacher.

I agree with the commentator, Pazzini will take the leadlines but Ambro and the defense were mostly oustanding.

I was impressed by de Scigilo, when abate comes back we should put him at left back. quality talent.

Pazzini, true poacher.

I agree with the commentator, Pazzini will take the leadlines but Ambro and the defense were mostly oustanding.

I really didn't see what was outstanding about either the defence or Ambro.

True, individually no one made any mistakes, but collectively... it was a mess imo. Bologna could have buried us today if their finishing was half decent. We were getting carved out easily. And that happens when the collective isn't functioning properly.

Imo Ambro was the problem in terms of the midfield not connecting with either the defence of the attack imo. He was not linking the play as the DM in Allegri's system is required to do. Nocerino and Monto looked like they were floating out wide on the wing, when they should be narrow, it's not so strange that Nocerino got his act together once De Jong got into the game. You might hate the guy and think him mediocre but he's not. He's a classy player on the ball and that was clear to see.

If Monto is not out long term, I think we could really see thing start to click into place for the midfield now.

Also, a shout out for Bojan who imo made the difference when he came on. His movement really cleared up space for Pazzini, plus him and Boateng were linking up nicely as well.

Some other sidenotes:
Boateng really needs to start considering passing option before he shoots. Sure last season it was great watching him smash them but this season we can afford to be in good position and him always choosing the shooting option.

Acerbi looked good
