QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Sep 10 2011, 12:56 PM) Is it something like "there's no list that takes the south away their legend". I could be wrong, it's a very inaccurate translation.
Needless to say I'm with them. Yeah I think it's something like that

QUOTE Inzaghi: 'I deserve to play'Pippo Inzaghi insists he has recovered from a devastating injury. “I deserve to play and the Milan fans deserve it too.” The veteran hitman always gets a standing ovation when he even begins to warm up at San Siro, but has barely featured this season. He was also left off the Champions League list, a decision that infuriated him, and is not shy about expressing his frustration to Coach Massimiliano Allegri. “My objective is to get back to being the player I was,” he told So Foot magazine after several months out with knee ligament damage. “I deserve to play and the fans deserve it too. Besides, I don’t know how to live without football, as I’m like a kid who always wants to play and learn even more. “Without doubt the striker who resembles me the most is Alberto Gilardino, but also Alberto Paloschi. “The toughest defenders I’ve faced are certainly Alessandro Nesta, Paolo Maldini, Ivan Cordoba, Ciro Ferrara and Walter Samuel.” http://www.football-italia.net/oct8p.html

But he's right, he deserves to play. If Allegri just would have a bit more feel for the game and Pippo...well, everything would be better.

Regardless to what's Allegri done wrong or right, I'll never forget his treatment regarding Pippo. Inzaghi really didn't deserve it and it's a heartbreaking story to me.

QUOTE (milanbuf88 @ Oct 16 2011, 08:53 PM) I love Pippo but no one deserves playing time based on past glories. The forwards with the best current form play. Period. It would be cool to see him get some cameos late in games but the fact remains that we have 4 forwards better than him and a young player that offers more skill and speed. It's sad to see legends age but that's life. QUOTE He didnt deserve it? Pippo simply hadn't the fitness for it for this half year. Early this season Pippo got injured again, so it's not like Allegri would have known him leaving out would happen when Pippo signed an extension. And if anything, if Allegri would have selected a 5th forward, it should have been El Shaarawy 100% and not Inzaghi. 5 or 4 forwards, fact stays, yesterday we had Valoti and Ferreira on the bench. No one is talking about Pippo being played like a starter or even a usual sub. But not to use his motivation and determination...ah well...hurrra for the young players!!

I'm not buying into the story Pippo did this to himself. Sure, there are always two sides of a medal, and surely Pippo isn't a saint and participated in this feud, but Allegri's behavior is unacceptable to me.
