QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Feb 20 2009, 06:17 PM) Thanks Tennie.
It's quite sad that Pippo, the man who won us our most European Cup amongst other things, only has 19 pages. Yet Pato, who's only been here 18 onths and done little of note, has over 100! Hmh,...you got me thinking... I agree, it's kind of sad.

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Feb 20 2009, 10:19 PM) Hmh,...you got me thinking... I agree, it's kind of sad. Let's not get into these comparisons, shall we? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Paolo Maldini could have 1 page, and he'll still trump any and every hundred page thread. Same was the case with Ronaldo, as is the case with Dida. It's the small moments that make these players what they are. Beside, intentional or not, we always find ways to segregate and separate our players, from Brazilians to divers, to what not. No offense intended, of course. These things can always wait until they leave the club. But as long as they play for Milan, wear the red and black, they're a part of the club. No classification needed.

Don't get your point completely. Just wanted to say that I agree with Kurt how funny it is that a Inzaghi-thread is half as "hot" as a Pato thread, when the first spent more then just a few years more then Pato here. No segregation, no classification. Pure facts..

Segregation is an emotionally charged word, at least in this country. It sends up as many red flags as calling someone 'racist' does.
I agree with Kurt and Fillipo that it's a bit surprising to see whose threads have lots and lots of pages and whose do not.

Welcome to my world, zeddie. It's done to pretty much every other player on the team on a very regular basis. Pato is hardly being singled out.
Anyway, this is the Pippo thread. Let's talk about him, shall we?

Anyway, this is the Pippo thread. Let's talk about him, shall we? It's never been like this, Tennie. if a player was criticized, it was only based on what he did on the pitch [if you think I'm wrong, I'll be happy if you show me some examples]. but to say it's sad the Pato thread has more pages than the Pippo thread... gee!!

No segregation, no classification. Pure facts.. I'll agree with the facts too, but my point actually was more in line of there are big players who don't have as much thread activity as some new ones that have tons of it. That doesn't make them a different/better/worse player than any other Milan players. Simple. Even Paolo and Nesta threads don't have that much activity and they've been here for ages. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Doesn't make them inferior to Pato (or anybody else) in any way, shape, or form. Same goes for Inzaghi. And for every other Milan player. A big part of Pato's thread is all the transfer blah blah before he signed up. And just for the record I agree with Kurt too, but maybe it's just me, I just won't worry about such things. I mean, Dida is a wold cup winner and two times CL winner too, by this count his thread has pin-drop silence. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) What matters is all these player giving their full where it matters. And we as fans should be worried more about that too, rather than competing which player gets more activity or which thread is hot. There are some players who are in the media spotlight comparatively more than others, and this too reflects in a forum sometimes. At the end of the day, all that matters is them being a part of Milan, all being equally important regardless of such small details. As far as Pippo goes, nothing will change the reality of all the vital goals he scored for the club. This is a FACT.

I do think it's sad that there are more pages discussing a 19 year old than the guy who scored both goals in our most recent CL final, yes. As for Pippo, I'll offer an observation so this post isn't completely off topic. When he was at Juventus, I couldn't stand him. Not sure how many remember that far back, but the Del Piero-Inzaghi-Zidane trident was pretty effing fearsome. Pippo could score against Milan at will. Needless to say, I've since come to have great affection for him (and I really like the goofy face he makes when he scores). Funny thing is, the Juve fans I know now despise Pippo because...he scores against them for fun. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) So it's all a matter of perspective.

This discussion is utterly sad as well. My god, I'll sure burn in hell for mentioning Pato's name.
I'd appeal we stop here and from now on try read what people actually say and not misquote them.
