QUOTE (X-Offender @ Dec 4 2011, 07:44 PM) It's all so very ridiculous. After all the endless contract renewals and ***-licking we've given to our senators over the last few years, when any other club would have already disposed of them, there are still people who think we are mistreating and being disrespectful to them. Unbelievable. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) If will don't do away with some of these old senators; Inzaghi, Ambrossini, Yepes, Gattuso, Van Bomel, Zambrotta, Nesta and Seedorf we will never move forward and attain real success in terms of play. We must seperate feelings from this. Players will serve and surely leave one day, no player will play forever. We have parted way with many great players before even some in their prime;Van Basten, Shevy, Kaka and some other truly loyal soldiers that can no longer deliver. It's obvious that majority of these old players weaker and tired legs can't deliver again and the team interest that is at stake should be consider first. So Allegri not playing a 38 years old attacker shouldn,t be an issue at all, in fact I will like to see him do the same to the old soldiers in the mid-field as well. They can't have all the chances given to them here in other top clubs.

QUOTE (Zed.D @ Dec 4 2011, 07:24 PM) What part of not including a 37yo who'd been out almost a year with a serious knee injury in the CL list until January was harsh?
For God's sake... You don't get it, so I'll pass answering for god's sake...

QUOTE (Zed.D @ Dec 5 2011, 11:23 AM) What do I not get? what kind of answer is that? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) You just don't have an answer to my simple question. I don't have an answer? You seriously think that? Let me rephrase your question: what part of including a Milan legend with a possible goalscoring record in the CL list until January is fair? I'd understand it if we'd have 10 superstar strikers, but we don't. Truth is, Inzaghi hasn't been injured that much this season, truth is, he could have been of use in those Champions League matches. From day one when we saw the group all of us knew there's not even a contender to 2nd group place for us. We knew that we'll most probably get 2 or 1 "training matches" for the reserve bench. So why not include someone who has the burning desire to play and score against BATE or Pilsen? What would we loose if by chance he'd be injured? We're talking of one freaking spot?? Fazit: I'll always stay true to the stars and players that won my heart. Gattuso disappointing me, while Ambrosini proved he's in decline. But with Inzaghi I still see it - his problem is the injury, but when he's fit, he has more willpower then any of our other strikers. Why not seize this opportunity? Why not give him 20 minutes in a match? And for the end, I really don't buy that "we don't give charity" bullsh@t. We gave plenty of charity; and I liked it - was someone hurt when we included Marco Simone in the squad some 10 years ago, or Ibrahim Ba even more recently? Yes, we want to win again, and certainly, partly we have to loose the good nice family mentality. But do we have to turn our policy completely upside-down? I don't think so...I don't think winning the Champions League or the Scudetto is connected with the decision not to include Pippo to the CL list.

QUOTE Fair enough. but what part of your post did you think I would not get? Naah, I knew you'd get me, yet, I was under the impression that my position is known and I did not want to repeat myself or start a new debate. QUOTE you say Pippo has still got it, but on the other hand you say it wouldn't hurt to let him play some minutes against BATEs and Pilsens. isn't that too pitiful for someone like him? No. For those matches Pippo could have gotten more. For some others (Barca, Lazio) less. You see, this is my problem with Allegri: all could have been avoided with a little more finger feeling and strategy. Yet he ridiculously hangs on to stupid habits like putting in players to play 5 or 4 minutes. QUOTE or even worse, doesn't that mean putting Pippo's personal ambitions (which we all what they are) before the team's? No, actually it means intelligent utilization of one's personal ambitions for the needs of the club. Isn't it logical that Pippo's desire is needed in such matches? Look at yesterdays match and think of what could have become with a Pippo-Pato partnership? I guarantee you, we'd now speak of 3 Milan victories in CL, and not 2. If not even more... QUOTE our younger players who are our future need these minutes more than Pippo, you can't deny that. Yet, they don't get them. Players like Emanuelson get them, whose future at Milan to me is questionable and rather grim. I wouldn't protest if it was a clear policy decision in a new direction: dump the oldies and promote the kids. But do we do that? Was El Shaarawy included and played? Do we now speak of him leaving already? You see, this is my point. In the end, youth leaves or utterly fails, while legends end up hurt...for the benefit of what? QUOTE Pippo should be saved for our big games, those knock out round games and that's what Allegri seems to have in his mind and I personally agree with it. I could even go on to argue he's kept Pippo totally hungry with this exclusion but I'll stop here because I know what your answers are going to be! Maybe he did but his strategy failed utterly then and backfired because Pippo is leaving Milan. What in god's name is "fazit"? It's a German word meaning one's final or crucial point, something the french would call résumé.

QUOTE (drucurl @ Dec 8 2011, 06:02 PM) So basically I can only hate on $hitlegri and draw a big red "x" defacing his picture if I only have exactly the same reasons you do else it's invalid (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) riveting tale 'ol chap. I find your opinion rather myopic no offense. First of all nobody thinks that Inzaghi has 90 min in his legs but in sticky suitations there is nobody I trust more to pull a completely ridiculous goal out of nowhere. Secondly I see no reason for not letting El Sharaawry to get the much needed minutes at many occasions where he could have done no harm no matter how badly he played. Integrating another fast skillful attacker into our system whom our management was willing to take the risk on was only going to benefit the team. And finally, Taiwo is so clearly on a short leash you'd have to be blind not to notice. He gets dealt with so harshly while Bonera and Anto have been getting away with murder. I don't think he's some next Maldini or Roberto carlos but I think some patience with players not immediately able to hit the ground running is in order. Sometimes it's these guys that save you Enough with the crap. Your points are simply invalid. I jumped the Eh Shaarawy bandwagon as soon as I noticed his name was not on the list, but in the long run, his presence would have meant nothing. It's too obvious not to see it. Same about Inzaghi. Bonera is our fifth CB choice. He only plays when when Nesta/Mexes are injured and Yepes is in bad shape. Hardly an Allegri favorite. Antonini is a decent fullback (good movements, decent skill, good speed). His only and major flaw is that he has no brains, which pretty much makes him a below-average player, not suited for a team like Milan. Zambrotta has been one of the best fullbacks of the past decade, but he's too old. Taiwo, on the other hand, has been awful in every sense of the word. I have not spotted one single positive aspect about the guy. He has no idea of how to defend, he doesn't push forward, even his crosses have been crap. I was his number one fan when we signed him (Fillipo can back me up on this), but the guy's had his fair share of chances and he's failed them all. How can a manager still count on somebody like him? I dislike Allegri just as much as you do. However, I've seen you pull stunts on the guy for pointless reasons, whenever you feel the urge to. You do the same about Ibra and Pirlo, people you don't like either. All of this is not called being objective. It's merely called antipathy, and you have lots of it. QUOTE (X-Offender @ Dec 8 2011, 04:37 PM) Not liking Allegri for his tactics is one thing, hating him for no purpose like you do is another. In the end, not including Pippo and El Shaarawy didn't hurt us a single bit. Taiwo has had his fair share of opportunities this season and he's failed every single one of them. It's not that Allegri plays Zambrotta and Antonini because he prefers them. He plays them because we have no one else. If you wanna bash Allegri, bring in some valid points. Didn't hurt us a bit? Who's us here? It hurt me, and as far I as know, many Milan supporters were and still are hurt with the Pippo thing. And how can you say it didn't hurt Milan? We could have at least won one or two more matches? I mean, with the same logic you could argue that not including Abbiati or Yepes wouldn't hurt us either. Goddammit, this isn't an emotionless business transaction, it's football! I understand that Pippo can't be considered anything else then a bonus nowadays, but for god sake, it will make so many people happy see him play. While I don't give a damn about Emanuelson coming in and doing the "creative" job.

Pharoah would have most certainly enjoyed some minutes in Plzen. He'll continue to be "inexperienced" without gametime. Allegri is proving to be awful at managing his human resources. Tactically he's meh but SUCKS at man management. The complete opposite of leo if you will and this is why neither can be considered great.

I understand both of you two, but Dru has a point. Allegris man management approach is very questionable. He sidelines players with a blink of an eye, and they usually never ever get a second chance.
